The photos posted in their ads have nothing to do with reality! The place you arrive at is ugly and seems like a scam. When you get there, the smell is disgusting; it smells like cigarette smoke in all the hallways, and the carpet smells like feet! The staff is very friendly, but the place is horrible. It has a very good location and connections, but I prioritize the place itself. It wasn’t the cheapest option, and even so, its quality is terrible! The rooms are not properly cleaned, they smell bad, you can hear absolutely all the noise from the hallway outside at night, and you can hear the street traffic outside. The beds are rock hard! I had to cancel my stay on the first day because I felt it was a scam compared to what they offer and what I paid for.
For us 3 adult and 2 children, go out morning, come back at night, really recommended. All good except not near Subway station.
It does its job—good central location, strong AC & wifi. The public bathrooms are filthy and can be smelled from the hallways, stay in a room with a private bathroom. Not that the hostel can control this, but the guests that stay here are extremely rude, smoking inside of the rooms and turning on lights/making noise extremely late at night. I definitely wouldn’t recommend for anyone with asthma or lung issues due to the horrible issue with smoking.
Nice hotel good really place in hotel family stay safe out class,
Hotel Meego Youth, the female customer service, I forgotten her name she is very helpful. I called from Airport at 3am she still stays until I arrive and keeps assisting me throughout the WeChat around 7plus am I finally reached the hotel. I was waiting for the train to be opened by 6am because my Didi e-Hailing didn't have a proper set up and the random taxi asked 250 yuan instead of the train for just 14.25 yuan. Shanghai is safe and I felt very much comfortable as a Muslim female solo traveler and I'm extremely impressed by the very beautiful scenery day or night sightseeing are cleaned, the signage as for non Chinese speakers my honest opinion China government is literally well considerate and welcome us. Very convenient. I've been entering China 3 times (Hong Kong, Shenzhen & Shanghai) and look forward to exploring more cities in China.
