Good food. Shanghainese staples. Order via QR code at table, or with front clerk. I encountered poor cellular connection inside the restaurant, had to stand near the door to get internet connection. Self-serve utensils. No in-restaurant washroom. Neighbouring 望云路生煎 also excellent.
Order and pay your food from the counter. The fried meat bun is not as good as the ones from Suzhou. Noodle is cooked al dente, and the dark sauce is well balanced.
These are the best shenjianbao I tried in Shanghai. Not a large sample size. But super crisp fried bottoms and plenty of soup inside.
One of the best serving street food restaurants I would say. But it also means you can't get in if there is no vacancy inside. The way they make the fried dumplings is kinda traditional with a fluffy and crispy bottom. But it's kinda wierd when the vegetable is served cold. Simply not local style. One tips to give: don't sit under the air conditioner, it not only cools people, also cool down your food.
Recommend by a chinese friend this is an authentic place, they have an english menu which is a relief and struggle free for ordering😃 You order at the entrance, they give you a number and then you're invited to the table.I liked their chopsticks cleaning machine😀👌 Very nice staff. Food is also amazing, 100% worth it! If I am not mistaken its open 24h😱
