Housed in a grand 17th-century convent, this is widely considered Spain's second most important fine arts gallery, featuring works by Murillo, Zurbarán, and El Greco.

I visited it on 28 February 2026. Though I am not an EU citizen, it was free-to-enter for me as it was Andalusian Day. The ground floor mainly contains paintings about Christianity, which I am not very interested in. However, the court is beautiful. The first floor contains more paintings about daily life objects and some of them are quite nice.
Seville Museum of Fine Arts is a wonderful place to visit and one of the city’s true hidden gems. The collection is impressive, especially the works from the Spanish Golden Age, with beautiful paintings by Murillo, Zurbarán, and other Andalusian masters. The building itself — a former convent — adds so much charm, with peaceful courtyards and elegant architecture that make the visit even more enjoyable. The best part is the price: admission is only €1.50, which is incredible value for the quality of the art and the overall experience. There are also far fewer tourists compared to other major attractions in Seville, so you can take your time, walk slowly, and appreciate the artworks in a calm and quiet environment. A highly recommended stop for anyone who enjoys art, history, or simply wants a relaxing and meaningful cultural experience in Seville.
I absolutely loved the Museo de Bellas Artes—housed in a stunning old convent with airy patios and elegant architecture that feels like a work of art itself. The collection focuses on Spanish masters, especially Sevillian Baroque painters like Murillo and Zurbarán, with room after room of dramatic religious works. It’s not overwhelming in size, so I spent a peaceful couple of hours wandering without fatigue. The atmosphere is calm and serene, far less crowded than bigger museums. Free for EU citizens, which made it even better. A perfect rainy-day escape and one of my top art experiences in Spain.
Fabulous museum, EU citizens get in for free, others get in first just 1.5€. Is full of amazing art and beautiful architecture. Is definitely a must see in Seville. Outstanding collection of Murillo’s paintings. Much of Sevilles history and traditions displayed. The internal garden was beautifully looked after.
The art is very religious. The Murillo paintings are fantastic. But go even if you're not sure about the art.bits very cheap and the building is very beautiful (and cool on a hot day).
