I was there with my wife and mum and got to enjoy the amazing and extraordinary 13-course menu created by the nice and outstandingly skillful michelin-star-cook. I can only say: wow! It was simply the most amazing food experience in my life, topping every other menu I got to try from any other star-cook. The explosion of tastes and the affinity with which every dish was cookek, simply an unforgettable experience. The seafood, fish, emulsions, sauces, combinations and ideas were simply unique. My most sincere compliments to all chefs and the team. Just go to Cañabota and try it out.
I chose the chef’s omakase menu for 150 euros, plus a glass of white wine for 15 euros, and left a tip. As someone who grew up on an island and is very sensitive to the flavors of seafood, I had high expectations for this Michelin one‑star restaurant. The overall experience, however, fell slightly below expectations. Some of the sauces were overly salty and masked the natural flavor of the seafood; one of the fish dishes was even not fully cooked. Although the plating was refined and the ingredients were good, the consistency in seasoning and cooking was lacking, and the dessert wasn’t particularly special.
- Amazing food and service. - We had a little incident however the staff handled it perfectly. - We were super full after we got the full course tasting menu of 14 dishes. The focus on seafood is absolutely amazing and brings out the freshness of food in Sevilla. My favorite was the red snapper croquettes which were crispy, well seasoned and soft. The fried grouper was super tasty and the three ending dessert that leaves you feeling refreshed and not heavy. Great meal! - The atmosphere of the restaurant was great, it was super fun sitting at the bar and watching how skillful the kitchen staffs were. They were a well oiled machine, everybody is skilled at their station with minimal communication required. - Worth it.
A stunning culinary experience. Every seafood dish wowed, withe the grilled fish being a standout. We were lucky enough to be seated on a walk in though there are only a few tables so suggest you book this as a must for any trip to Seville. A little let down at the end with the deserts and feeling a little forgotten about as we waited a while for coffees at the end. Otherwise the staff were lovely and the vibe was relaxed. Our top recommendation for the city 🎏
I’ve been lucky enough to have eaten in a few Michelin starred the past few years. This is definitely deserving of the honour. Food is great. Dishes are extremely refined and inventive without tipping over into “interesting but not necessarily tasty” territory. And the service is top notch. Very nice, attentive and welcoming. Recommend if you are looking for a splurge.
