Of course this trip would not be complete without tasting Hanwoo beef and rightly so! We got the 300g per person beef platter which had different cuts - great introduction to Hanwoo beef. I personally prefer this over Wagyu since I like my beef more meaty than fatty. The banchan that accompanied it were delicious. This is one of the recommended places to try Hanwoo beef so happy to have tried it here!
I didn’t know it when I booked , but there are several floors and experiences that you can book here. One floor is the chefs special, one is the tasting menu, and one is casual dining (which is the option we booked). I have a feeling that no matter which selection you book, your meal will assuredly be superior. We booked 300 gram beef choice and our waitress was lovely and made sure each selection of meat was cooked to perfection. We had several side dishes, and if we wanted more or if we ran out, our waitress is happy to accommodate us and reup our side dish selection. This was the restaurant we chose for the last day of our vacation, it was a perfect way to end our trip. Every morsel was delicious. The only con to the menu was there was only one choice for red wine by the glass, albeit it was a good selection for me, an Italian Chianti, for others it might not be there a cup of tea.
Everything was so delicious that I forgot to take pictures in my excitement for each new course. We came for lunch which was incredible. Every bite was better than the last, and so thoughtful. I appreciated the explanation of each course. The kombucha was a delight. Will absolutely come back for lunch and dinner!
Born and Bred is one of the best beef experience I had in Seoul. The moment you walk in, it already feels premium but not uncomfortable. The lighting, the sound, the atmosphere… everything is made for enjoying meat slow and properly. The meat was insane quality. Every bite was soft, juicy, and with strong beef taste. I love how they cook it with perfect timing and don’t overdo anything. Side dishes also very good, not just “extra”. I also appreciate the staff because they are very professional and kind, and they watch your table carefully without being annoying. If you come to Seoul and you love yakiniku / hanwoo style, Born and Bred should be on your list. It’s expensive yes, but worth it for the experience. ごちそうさまでした!
Came here with a group of friends in mid-November 2025 for lunch. Overall, I really enjoyed the beef selection. Most of the cuts were brined, so I felt there was no need to add additional salt. The service, food preparation, and hospitality provided by Serena and Lim were top-notch. I was able to sample various cuts of meat that I normally don’t get to try, and I enjoyed every piece. My favourites were the hanger and striploin.
