I wish I could give them 10 stars! La Calma experience was amazing and the best seafood in Santiago! We had to try the infamous 1/2 Calma which is for two people to share but we were so stuffed at the end of the meal without trying the dessert. It was an unique experience to eat sashimi Chilean style with lime, lemon&olive oil and mayonnaise. 1/2 Calma was a great way to be introduced to the vast variety of fresh seafood. The server was great and gave us great recommendations of wine, but we didn’t catch his name. We also tried their mashed potatoes with caramelized onions. It was delicious. Loved the seafood and the dining experience. We look forward to returning soon!”
Absolutely perfect, honest, straightforward, GORGEOUS local seafood- the best. Try the things you have never tried or that you have never heard of, and be amazed. Everything was so delicious, especially the locos and piure! Don’t miss the black fideos either. I wish I had had a bigger group so we could have ordered more and tried everything. Stunning. The atmosphere is also beautiful- cleanse your palate with local white wine, or, alternately, a dry martini with one of the excellent local austral gins.
Excellent range of seafood - all done beautifully and near perfect. Loved the ceviche of shellfish (resembled scallops but we were told weren’t scallops), fish fillets all cooked beautifully. This is THE spot for seafood in Santiago.
La Calma was the perfect finale to our three‑week trip. Every dish was fresh, beautifully prepared, and absolutely delicious. The service was outstanding—our server, Mattius, went above and beyond, guiding us through the menu with care and helping us select a wonderful Chilean wine that paired perfectly with our meal.
Great place for dinner! On the pricier side, but everything we ate was so good and worth it! Staff were professional and attentive and all spoke English which helped a lot. Quiet neighbourhood at night with paid parking near by. Would definitely recommend and would go again!
