Nice cultural centre with exhibits, a nice building, and a shop where I get some very cool earrings.
Interesting establishment and a great way to spend an hour in! Remarkable exhibitions throughout and good places to chill for a drink or coffee.
Beautiful art establishment. You can visit the art pieces in the sub level, and they stayed open until very late. They have street fair on the west side and many outdoor culture events on weekends. They also have small shops set up inside and you can sit and chill in the coffee shop inside.
Fantastic atmosphere, marvelous architecture attracting young people, enabling organic interactions. The building hosts a very nice and popular bar with direct view to skaters and young apprentices of different performances.
Brilliant highlight of Santiago! We visited the Gabriela Mistral Cultural Centre on a Tuesday evening and we were super impressed by its vibrant atmosphere and rich cultural offerings. The centre hosts a variety of performances, exhibitions, and events, making it a hub for art enthusiasts - including informal performances which were being practiced in the amphitheater area near the bar. The building itself is architecturally a statement, which we loved, with mixed materials and angles making up the facade. The contrasts in the scale of exhibition spaces against the wide plazas and circulation space is also very well considered. Finally, the free admission makes it accessible to everyone. The surrounding Lastarria neighborhood offers up its historic charm and lively streets plus plenty of dining options and bars. Definitely worth a visit for anyone interested in the arts.
