I came here for Woodhouse Fish Co’s 17th anniversary promotion $17 lobster rolls. The waitlist was insane. We got there around 6:30pm and ended up waiting about an hour, so I’d definitely avoid peak dinner time if you can. The promotion limit 2 lobster rolls per person, so we ordered 4 rolls and 1 ahi tuna tostadas. I’ve been here before (about a year ago) and remember the food being amazing, which is why this visit felt a little underwhelming. The lobster rolls were still good, but not as flavorful or memorable as I remember. Maybe just an off day, or maybe expectations were too high. Ahi tuna tostadas were the best thing of tonight. Super fresh tuna, paired with a tangy, slightly sour sauce and really crispy tostadas, it had a great balance of textures and flavors. Definitely worth ordering. Last time I was here, I also tried crab cakes and they were incredible, I recommend you should order them too. Overall, a bit of a disappointing experience compared to before, especially with the long wait, but I still like this place and would probably give it another shot (just maybe not during a promo rush).

Caught their anniversary special: $17 for a lobster roll (limit 2 per person). The lobster was super fresh and the bun was perfectly toasted and buttery, just total comfort food. My friend and I shared a bowl of clam chowder, but we were honestly too stuffed to finish it after two rolls each! The chowder was rich and creamy though. The vibe is cozy with dim lighting, actually pretty romantic and good for a date. It was packed because of the deal and we waited about 1.5 hours for bar seats… Now that the promo is over, the crowd probably won't be as crazy? But I’d still recommend avoiding peak hours since there isn't a ton of seating. Even with the crowd, the staff were efficient and kept everything moving smoothly.

Any restaurant that has a low-cost lobster roll promoting their anniversary is gonna get swamped with business, and when they actually will sell you two per customer (plenty enough to fill you up), then it's not just a gimmick. We drove up from San Jose one fine spring day in April just to partake of this deal, making it a bit of a date for the wife and me. They don't skimp on their lobster as well, and the "roll" itself isnt just any bun but a perfectly toasted, thick-crusted bread. We came hungry, so we ordered more than just two two rolls for each of us -- don't overlook their various starter plates. Come hungry, and order some of those! Oh, though we didn't catch the name of our server, he was very good natured, and quick to refill my soda and give me another fork when I dropped it. A wonderful lunch experience in the City. Update one week later Aprl 2026: We came back one week later, ordering the same 2 orders each of the anniversary lobster roll, this time the warm roll. Yup, driving 1.5 hr each way from rhe South Bay is worth it.

We visited last Sunday to check out their anniversary special --$17 lobster rolls all April (dine-in only, limited to two per person). And I have to say, the 50-minute drive from the south bay was absolutely worth it. We tried the lobster roll and chose the hot version with butter (you can also get it cold with mayo, celery, and chives). The lobster tasted incredibly fresh, and the simplicity of the ingredients really let the flavor shine. I’d also highly recommend the squid ink spaghetti with crab, tobiko, and smoked tomato cream sauce—this dish was heavenly. Don’t skip the lemon on top; it adds the perfect tangy kick. I even added a little extra because I like mine a bit more citrusy. The staff was friendly and impressively quick with service, especially considering how packed the place was. We waited about 20 minutes for a table, but it was completely worth it. The only thing I’d change? The slightly eerie music in the bathroom. It’s hard to relax when it sounds like distant folk singing echoing out of nowhere—definitely an unexpected vibe.

Clam chowder was a huge bowl, tasted as good or better than any Maine clam chowder or other I have had highly recommend!
