After wanting to eat @ Swan Oyster Depot for YEARS I finally got to go and wow it was fantastic! I got the mixed seafood salad, which had cooked shrimp, prawns, and crab on a fresh bed of finely cut cabbage, house dressing on the side, and half a dozen super fresh and delicious oysters (one of each of the six Pacific varieties they had on offer that day). I wanted to order more, but had to run to a meeting. This place has been proudly serving fresh seafood for over a century, and the walls of the interior are adorned with a vast collection of awards, news clippings, literature, signs, foreign currency, nautical kitsch, and other badges of their rich history. If you get a chance to come here, bring a friend or two and have each person order something different so you can share and try more of the menu. I can't wait to come here again! Thank you, Swan Oyster Depot!

Get there early if you can and bring cash, it's expensive but worth it. The initial complimentary bread is fresh, hot, delicious. The crab salad is loaded with fresh delicious dungenous crab. The sashimi platter is beautifully presented and tastes better than it looks. Felt special eating at this historic spot.

Tony told me to come, and I'm glad I did. The food is divine. So fresh, so full of flavour. The service is kind, welcoming and professional. Good beer on tap. The scallop ceviche was ridiculous - almost like butter melting in your mouth. I will definitely go back one day.

Great food and warm staff. I thought this would be a tourist trap and I was wrong. It’s a real SF institution and has a warm heart. I loved the clam chowder most and the scallops of the Italian sashimi.

Be prepared to wait in line, arrived at 10:40 and didn’t get seated until nearly 1. Service is good but have an idea of what you want before you’re seated. In my opinion the clam chowder was very average but I really did enjoy the combination seafood salad. Delicious and Fresh. Place is cash only and be prepared to spend. For three people including a few beers and tip came out to $220.
