**UPDATE** The vegan pasta is fantastic: rich, comforting, with just a touch of heat. It’s exactly the kind of dish that reminds you vegan food can be every bit as satisfying as traditional comfort food. Unfortunately, brunch was a very different experience. The vegan eggs came with potatoes, very sweet squash mixed into the scramble (squash and potatoes was a mushy texture overload) ketchup with a hint of curry, and a side salad with dressing so light I could barely tell it was there. I love eggs, and this had all the ingredients to become a favorite brunch dish, but it just didn’t come together and wasn’t a satisfying meal. I also tried the Chimichurri Burger. The combination of grilled onions, peppers, greens, crunchy potato sticks, and chimichurri is genuinely creative and delicious. The bun, however, tasted several days old: dry, dense, and stale. Instead of absorbing the sauces and bringing everything together, it did the exact opposite. I was going to order the French toast but decided to make it at home instead: fresh challah or brioche, vanilla bean, cinnamon, a pinch of salt, a splash of cream, maple syrup, and fresh berries. It may take more effort, but after this brunch experience I wasn’t willing to take the risk. ————————————————————— Orecchiette with spicy sausage arrabbiata (Beyond Italian sausage, coconut parmesan, basil) was excellent - perfect level of heat. I couldn’t even tell it was chickpea pasta, and the vegan sausage didn’t cause any heaviness or heartburn. The avocado chocolate ganache was also great. The whipped cream was light and delicious, and the berries with toasted almonds balanced the richness nicely. I probably wouldn’t order it again only because I prefer milk chocolate.
Great place for healthy vegan food. prompt service. Plenty of seating. Neatball Masala was fantastic, most popular dish title is well earned. However, lots of flies, and cauliflower appetizer could not hold the seasoning. Burger patty is delicious, but not enough sauce. We had to use the dressing from the cauliflower appetizer to bring it up to par. Portions are modest, set expectations accordingly.
Rad Radish takes fast casual dining up a notch. Absolutely delicious, all-vegan menu. My husband and I went there twice on our most recent visit to the city. The chilaquiles and burgers were great.
I had dinner at Rad Radish yesterday and was thoroughly impressed by this 100% plant-based gem in Hayes Valley. The restaurant immediately catches your eye with its vibrant, colorful signage and welcoming storefront that perfectly captures the energy of the neighborhood. I ordered the Impossible Burger with avocado and fries, and it absolutely delivered. The burger was expertly prepared with a great balance of flavors and textures - the Impossible patty was juicy and satisfying, complemented perfectly by fresh avocado and crisp lettuce on a sesame seed bun. The fries were golden and crispy, served alongside a delicious ketchup that tied the meal together beautifully. What really sets Rad Radish apart is the atmosphere. The space is stunning with its modern industrial design, featuring exposed ceilings, warm wood floors, and an abundance of lush greenery throughout. The hanging plants and natural elements create such a fresh, inviting environment that makes you want to linger. The lighting is perfect for both casual dining and catching up with friends. The restaurant strikes that perfect balance of being trendy yet comfortable, with a layout that feels both spacious and intimate. It’s clear they’ve put thought into creating a space that’s as beautiful as their food is delicious. Rad Radish proves that plant-based dining can be both satisfying and stylish. I’ll definitely be back to explore more of their menu - this place is a real winner in the Hayes Valley dining scene!
Chicken sandwich and butternut squash soup! Love soup here. Everything is so yummy. Great vegan restaurant. Grilled cheese was yummy but a bit too greasy for my stomach.
