ONE OF THE BEST clubs I've been to, globally. Sound system you hear/feel like Pacha, layout intimacy like Fabric, lights/effects like Concourse, full package. We flew in for Deep Dish and THE WHOLE experience within Public Works was exceedingly welcoming. We knew right when we walked in it was gong to be perfect, downstairs, upstairs, the sound, the bar, the patrons vibing, brilliant. Also, whoever runs their IG account is a SUPERSTAR! Thank you SO MUCH for answering any/all questions we had. The client services was above-and-beyond before we even touched down in the city! We flew in from the midwest and would do it again for this venue in a heartbeat. Keeping an eye on your events from now on. See you next time.
2 story underground electronic music club. One medium sized room and one small room. Full bars on both floors. Mezzanine to check out the main floor from above. Came for Parameter festival close out event. They have a stage, so I'm not sure if they do the DJ boots about the theater in the round setup, but for this event the DJ was in the middle of the dance floor surrounded by all of us.
Celebrated New Year’s Eve at Public Works and it was one of the best NYE experiences I’ve had in San Francisco. The music was excellent all night. Great DJ selection, high energy dance floor, and a crowd that was actually there to vibe and move. If you’re looking for a true San Francisco nightclub with a strong music focus, this is it. The bartenders were fast, friendly, and poured solid drinks; not watered down, which you definitely appreciate on a busy holiday night. Big shoutout to the blonde bartender who took care of us most of the evening. She was cool, welcoming, and kept the energy up every time we came back to the bar. Overall, great atmosphere, strong drinks, and quality music. Highly recommend Public Works for NYE or any weekend night out in SF
Best club in the city for a wide range of electronic music, a diverse crowd, and good vibes. I am a regular and joined the PW Union which is a great deal if you're generally going to one or two shows per month. Staff are super friendly. No pretensions here!
Drinks are not cheap but reasonably priced compared to other venues. Sound is pretty good. The crowd here is pretty chill and consists of a more mature crowd, as in late 20s to 40s. The bartenders have never been rude to me. People come here to enjoy the music. The tiered ticketing prices are a little irritating though and a little pricy. After paying for tickets and drinks for 2, could easily top $100.
