Took a Waymo there early in the morning and the area was still pretty quiet with not too many people around. The Palace of Fine Arts is even more beautiful in person — the architecture and the atmosphere feel very elegant and peaceful. While walking around, I also saw a couple setting up what looked like an engagement ceremony, which made the place feel even more special and romantic. Definitely worth visiting if you want a calm and scenic spot in San Francisco.
Always wanted to stop here, but somehow never managed to do it . Finally, I succeeded! And it is well worth the stop Paid parking is available. Lovely lake and gardens. Gorgeous building that remind you of Roman ruins.
Absolutely stunning and a real change of scenery. Despite having visited San Francisco many times over the years, this was my first time here after an Uber driver recommended it, and it completely exceeded expectations. The architecture is beautiful and almost surreal, and the entire setting feels calm, elegant, and timeless. We were lucky to visit on a very very nice day, which made the experience even better, but the place itself is impressive regardless. Walking around the rotunda and the surrounding area feels special and almost transportive. If you are in San Francisco and have some time to walk around, this is a must see. Five stars without hesitation.
Impressive architecture in a beautiful small park and nature preserve. Close to Crissy Field and a beautiful walk to the Golden Gate Bridge. A great way to spend a morning, get some exercise and spend time with nature, the flowers along the walk were spectacular. There is also as the name suggests an art gallery, I did not go in.
The Palace of Fine Arts is a breathtaking spot and was a true highlight of our family trip. The Greco-Roman architecture and the serene lagoon create such a peaceful atmosphere—it’s easily one of the most beautiful landmarks we’ve visited. It was a wonderful place to explore with my wife and our two daughters. We spent a lot of time walking around, taking in the massive columns, and enjoying the scenery. We also stopped for a quick bite and had hot dogs inside the rotunda area; they were surprisingly tasty and hit the spot while we took a break from sightseeing. Highly recommended for families or anyone looking for some iconic views and a relaxing stroll!
