Great ambience and a very unique setting. The courtyard with the movie screen makes it a special place for dinner. The oysters were absolutely fantastic and the highlight of the evening. The starters and mains were good, but not outstanding. The carpaccio and the fish stew à la bouillabaisse were solid, yet I was missing a real wow moment. The German cake for dessert was unfortunately a bit dry and rather boring. Service was very friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Excellent recommendations throughout the evening. Overall, a beautiful spot with great atmosphere and top service, but the food itself did not fully impress.
Went to Foreign Cinema in San Francisco for Saturday brunch and had a great experience. Definitely recommend making a reservation—it was almost fully packed when we arrived. They offer both indoor and outdoor seating, and the overall vibe is really nice and lively. We ordered the tuna ceviche, French omelette, and seafood sandwich. Everything was fresh and really tasty. The only small downside was the portion size, especially the ceviche, which felt a bit small for the price. Overall, really enjoyed it and would definitely come back.
You must visit this fantastic establishment! We were fortunate enough to visit recently during SF Restaurant Week. All 3 of us opted to select from their special dining menu and absolutely impressed by the quality and presentation of all of our chosen options. We heard about how popular this restaurant is and booked an about a week ahead during low travel season. The atmosphere, service, selection and staff all exceeded our expectations. We booked an earlier reservation inside rather than the outside seating (which is under a cover) to take in the movie of the night. If you are planning a visit to SF, DO NOT miss this spot.
This place is pretty cool! They have a cozy outside space where they project a movie on the brick wall. They played the goonies the night we had dinner. There are old drive through speakers on the sides where you can hear the movie from and you can control the volume. We sat outside and it was a bit chilly but got warm quick with all their heating lamps. They accommodated our party of 10 but anymore people they said they wouldn’t be able to accommodate. We ordered a variety of appetizers. For dinner I got the fish which was a sword fish and it was very good but tiny. The meals are expensive around $40 and not that much food on the plate. The desserts are also expensive, it was $14.50 for a slice of cake. It was a good slice of cake but not worth the price. We split the bill and I paid close to 180 for one person with tax and tip. It was nice for a team outing and the atmosphere is one of a kind. Service is great as well. Just thought the portions were small for the prices.
I loved how fresh the food felt! Each ingredient was refreshing to taste. The atmosphere is romantic and makes for wonderful conversations. Everyone was having such a good time which adds to the jolly ambience.
