Wonderful hotel. From start to finish, our stay was near perfect. Service is top- when I called down after testing the mattress and finding it too firm, two housekeepers arrived in minutes with fluffy mattress pads and extra pillows. Our room overlooked the river and some historic buildings. At first it seemed tight but there was ample storage. The bathroom hidden behind mirrored doors had a bath tub and shower cubicle as well as double vanity with adjacent storage shelves, so we were perfectly comfortable. Decor was light with a few dark accent tables and desk area with minibar stocked daily with water juice and soda. Breakfast is beautifully managed by Ursula, and served by a gracious crew. We used the cafe daily and found it very convenient with nice service as well. Thank you all! There is a more formal restaurant as well, and a bar with a food menu. We didn’t try these venues. Do yourself a favour, book a room here and step back in time, in the most wonderful way.
Our stay was absolutely incredible from start to finish. The level of service was truly exceptional — warm, attentive, and thoughtful in every detail. The staff made us feel genuinely welcomed and cared for throughout our visit. What made the experience even more special were the beautiful Valentine’s Day touches. Everything felt curated and intentional. It created such a magical atmosphere and made our celebration unforgettable. We cannot wait to return — this hotel truly sets the standard for hospitality.
From the moment of check-in until the very end of our stay, everything was absolutely exceptional. Every detail was thoughtfully executed, creating a truly beautiful and seamless experience. I would especially like to highlight the blonde lady at the breakfast reception—she is outstanding. Her attention to detail, warm presence, and ability to ensure every guest feels welcomed and informed truly set the tone for a perfect morning. A special mention also goes to Mohammed from the breakfast team. His service was impeccable—discreet, attentive, and highly professional. Small details, such as replacing cutlery almost unnoticed or maintaining the buffet in pristine condition at all times, did not go unnoticed. His dedication to excellence is truly remarkable. Lastly, the bellboys were incredibly friendly and consistently elevated the overall atmosphere with their positive energy and professionalism. A truly five-star experience in every sense—I would return without hesitation.
World class hotel experience in Salzburg. Wonderful location, beautiful appointed hotel, warm and amazing staff, truly 1st class! I previously was unfamiliar with the Sacher brand, having stayed this past week for our 24th wedding anniversary, they are firmly positioned the the highest tier of hotels/hospitality. I am so glad I took the chance and book there - book with confidence, Sacher will delight and impress. My wife and I will be back!
Wow! Wow! Wow! Sacher is a beautiful hotel and has the best location! We stayed in a beautiful room with a fireplace and balcony that overlooked the river, love bridge, fort, etc. We asked for a Christmas tree in our room, and they delivered such a beautifully decorated live tree! The service was top notch, anything we needed they responded in kind. The bar was fantastic, make reservations, and the entire hotel was decorated for Christmas. On Christmas eve they delivered gifts, had mulled wine and cookies, as well as a brass band playing Christmas songs. The food was Outstanding! Sacher made our holiday so very special! We look forward to returning fall 2026!
