A glorious hotel full of history and style. We loved it. Perfectly positioned about 2 minutes from the marathon finish line but also slap bang in the middle of town. Great, friendly, helpful and very knowledgeable staff. The room was also sizeable and wonderfully decorated. So good. Thank you
We didn't really research this property before booking it. Boy where we in for an amazing surprise when we arrived! The staff was incredible in every single thing they did. From greeting us every time we entered the building to setting up an incredible wine tasting event. The room was fabulous and the location is perfect for strolling the streets of old-town. If you ever want an amazing vacation - book this hotel in Salzburg!
We stayed at the Hotel Goldener Hirsch for 3 nights to celebrate a very special occasion. It was our first time in Salzburg. The Hotel Goldener Hirsch became our very favorite hotel we’ve ever stayed in during our travels, immediately upon check in. The staff was exceptionally lovely, they treated us to some small gifts to celebrate our special occasion, remembered our names throughout the duration of our stay, were so kind with recommendations of things to explore throughout the city, and made everything lovely. The hotel has some amazing history, and we greatly appreciate the sophisticated yet cozy Austrian style that is reflected throughout the hotel. We love the Hotel Goldener Hirsch and will absolutely be back to stay again, hopefully soon! Thank you to the wonderful staff that make this hotel a truly exceptional experience!
I loved this hotel and did not want to leave. Charm, location, beauty and great staff. We stayed in room ( 1 ) which was a suite. I had a nice bathtub which I did use to soak in -- we had done so much walking. Right on the main pedestrian walkway outside with shops and restaurants galore. Also, nearby Christmas markets (we were there mid December) The morning breakfast was very well stocked and our servers were some of the best.
On my first visit to Salzburg, I couldn't have had a better stay. I felt very welcomed by the hotel staff, right from check-in. All the employees were very friendly and helpful, especially Anja, Paolo, and Wolfgang. The location is spectacular, and the classic Austrian style makes the atmosphere super cozy and romantic. The room was very spacious, comfortable, and beautiful. Can't wait to visit Salzburg again and enjoy this beautiful hotel.
