Regarding the food, you get a truly great Michelin-star experience (we chose the five-course menu), except for the bread at the beginning, which was dense and tasteless. The waitress were armature for a Michelin restaurant. I also really disliked the design of the place.

A fantastic dinner. We did the 7 courses with a wine pairing and a non-alcoholic pairing. From start to finish, each course was perfect. So many great flavors! We left full and satisfied and very well attended by the staff. The non-alcoholic pairing is 100% worth ordering for those who don't wish to partake in the wines. Highly recommend a visit to Esszimmer!

Phenomenal food! Such great flavour and very inventive. The other reviews were right about how great this restaurant is. My husband and I both loved it. Every item of food was delightful. I had the vegetarian menu and he had the Esszimmer menu with the pigeon. (If you are wondering what to wear the atmosphere and guest attire are somewhat casual. Don't wear a t-shirt but most everyone wore sneakers)

I could not be more happy with our dining experience at Esszimmer! From the moment we walked in until when we left, the staff was extremely attentive and friendly. We enjoyed how they described each one of the seven courses along with suggesting wine pairings. It was a family affair there, the mother who ran the restaurant along with her daughter were both working there and it was so cute! Thank you for the amazing evening!

Lovely interior Excellent service Amazing food After reading about this restaurant in lonely planet we decided to book for our upcoming holiday and we were not disappointed. We chose the lunch menu with paired wines and were spoilt with a delicious welcome of beef tartare, followed by tuna three ways which was melt in your mouth perfection! Then a duck dish, again perfectly cooked and paired with delicious rich wine. Finishing with a Christmas flavoured dessert! Excellent service throughout the meal and a great experience.
