Saigon Central Post Office is such a beautiful place to visit in Saigon. The architecture inside and outside is stunning and full of character. Definitely worth stopping by even just to admire the building itself. What makes it even cooler is that it’s still a fully functioning post office today. You can still send postcards, letters, and parcels from there, even though it’s also a major tourist attraction. There are souvenir stalls inside, but personally I’d skip buying from there as prices feel quite touristy. Still, such a nice place to visit for the atmosphere, history and beautiful design.

Saigon Central Post Office is one of the most iconic landmarks in the city, known for its striking mustard-yellow façade and classic colonial design. Inside, the building features a grand arched ceiling and elegant iron framework, often associated with the style of Gustave Eiffel. The overall atmosphere feels spacious and reminiscent of old European architecture. It’s a great place to walk around, admire the details, and take photos—both inside and outside. Despite being a functioning post office, it also serves as a popular tourist attraction. A must-visit spot for architecture lovers and anyone exploring central Saigon.

A visit to the Saigon Central Post Office in Vietnam is truly a memorable experience. This iconic landmark beautifully blends history, architecture, and everyday life. The building itself is stunning, with its grand arched ceilings, vintage maps, and classic design that reflects French colonial influence. What makes this place special is not just its appearance but the atmosphere inside. It’s still a fully functioning post office, so you can see locals and tourists interacting, sending letters, and exploring the space. The staff are helpful, and the environment is lively yet well-organized. Located right in the heart of Ho Chi Minh City, it’s easy to access and perfect to combine with nearby attractions. Whether you’re interested in history, photography, or just want to experience something unique, this place is definitely worth visiting. Highly recommended for anyone traveling to Vietnam!

I didn’t realize it was a post office but came in due to so many people around it and coming in and out. I decided to send a postcard to an international friend and the process was quite simple. I got 2 post cards from the middle and left section of the area then I went to the right side where majority of the lines are. Bought a stamp to put on myself and then went to the middle far back where you can sit and write whatever you want to. You can definitely use the post cards for their original use or as a souvenir. Fast process, and prices are actually quite good.

The building itself is beautiful and definitely worth seeing from the outside, but inside there isn’t really much to explore or spend time on. I wouldn’t recommend staying more than five minutes. That said, it’s still a must-see stop if you’re visiting the city, mainly for its architecture and historical significance, and it’s easy to include as a quick visit while walking around the area.
