Ốc Đào is a famous spot for seafood lovers craving bold, authentic Vietnamese flavors. The menu is packed with fresh snails, clams, and crabs cooked in rich sauces such as garlic butter, tamarind, and spicy chili are all standouts. Though on the contrary, seafood options sell out early; so it is highly recommended to come around 5 - 6pm for dinner. The atmosphere is lively and it can get very busy during peak hours. Service is quick, and the prices are reasonable for the quality and variety offered.

Every shell dish is absolutely delicious! The seafood is fresh and flavorful. The dipping sauce is a bit on the salty side, but it actually enhances the natural taste of the seafood really well. Pairing the shellfish with bread makes it even more perfect. Most importantly, the price is great. You can try many different dishes without spending too much. If you’re in Ho Chi Minh City, this place is definitely a must visit.

We didn’t listen to the waiter and ordered what we thought looked good, which turned out to be a mistake. The snails we picked were slimy and gritty, not great at all. After that, we switched to the items they recommended, including the baguette to soak up the sauce, and those were amazing. Huge difference. The dishes they suggested were easily the best part of the meal. Overall, it felt pretty hit or miss. Some items were really good, others just did not work for us. Service, though, was excellent. They even offered a free shuttle to the main road at the end, which was a nice touch, although it might depend on timing. There were a few locals dining there, so it did not feel like a tourist trap. I would probably still recommend it to friends, mainly to try the snails, but definitely stick to the staff recommendations. Coconut Sea Snails WAS NOT GOOD. It was both slimy and gritty.

I am extremely disappointed with my experience today. After receiving my first order, I had to wait more than an hour for the rest of my food to arrive, which is simply unacceptable. What disappointed me even more than the long wait was the complete lack of communication from the staff. Not a single employee made an effort to explain what was happening or why the food was taking so long. I am a very patient person and I understand that working in the service industry means dealing with many challenges and customer expectations every day. However, all I wanted was an explanation. If someone had simply informed me of the reason for the delay or provided an update on the situation, I would not have felt nearly as frustrated or disappointed. I understand how demanding your job can be and I respect the effort required to handle customers and operational issues. Unfortunately, the way this situation was managed reflects very poor communication and an ineffective management system. I hope you will take this feedback seriously and improve the way such situations are handled in the future so that other customers do not have to go through the same experience.

I had a wonderful brunch experience at Ốc Đào! 🤩 The food was absolutely delicious, especially the stir-fried snails and noodles – so flavorful! 🍜 The service was good, though a little slow, and the atmosphere was quite pleasant. 🐚
