Housed in a grand neoclassical palace, this museum details the city's archaeological, social, and revolutionary history.

Good to know
The building itself and its lush gardens are worth the entry fee.

A nice informative museum to get to know more about Sai Gon. It tells the important stories of politics, arts, and cultures. Its uniqueness is the traces of war that are still on the walls and stairs. There's also an exhibition of aircraft and antique cars around the building. Entrance fee is 30k VND.

This was a great museum, excellent mix, history encompassing French Indochina, obviously focusing on Vietnam, but including the entire region through the last century +. a lot of cool artifacts excellent information and informative displays definitely worth the time.

I love how this museum is curated. The sections spans from the history of the city, political leaders, ideologies, and some historical craft and archive. Rating 5 stars because a high-school student provided me a free tour. I just wish I got her name. Dont miss this museum if youre even in HCM. Learned a lot here. :)

Great place to visit to gain knowledge on the history. The place is quite big so ensure to visit all rooms including the basement. The military equipment is definitely interesting but maybe they should try to keep them clean. An unusual aspect of the museum is that it's very popular for weddings photography (I guess it's because the building infrastructure is photogenic)

What a museum. Too many people taking photo shoot, i mean taking pictures are oke, but they are EVERYWHERE. Blocking every corner of the museum you can barely see anything. You can’t even walk. Pay money to see what? People’s photo session? What history to learn? Influencers history? Do better hcmc
