I’ve ordered from Cơm Tấm Ba Ghiền twice and tried both the grilled pork chop and the grilled chicken. The toppings are genuinely good, and as someone who really loves com tam and has tried many places, I can see why Ba Ghiền is so well known. That said, I think the experience is best when you customize it a bit to suit your own taste. Personally, I find the grilled chicken juicier and less dry than the pork chop. The rice is on the drier side and clearly meant to be eaten with soup. Since I usually skip the soup, I add a little water and microwave the rice when eating at home, to make it softer. One small tip is to order outside peak hours, either before or after lunch or dinner, as the food tends to be prepared more carefully. For example, when I ordered around 9 am and asked for extra chili, they were very generous.

Was hesitant coming here since the reviews kept saying their pork rib was dry but this place was nearby so I had to give it a try. I arrived in the afternoon at 2PM and got a seat immediately as the place was pretty empty. Order the fried egg and pork rib on rice and an orange juice. Food came within a minute of ordering, very quick! Not sure if i was lucky but the pork rib was definitely not dry at all, very delicious and a big piece of meat as well. I'm not sure if it's the best com tam i've had as most com tams pretty much taste the same. But it's definitely worth trying especially for the price point to value ratio; I was full after that meal! Would recommend if you're nearby but it's nothing crazy to wait over.

Our pick for breakfast, and it did not disappoint! The servings were sumptuous and perfect for sharing with a group. Every dish was flavorful and satisfying. Definitely deserving of its Michelin recognition. Highly recommended!

Forget about the Michelin Guide. This was one of the juiciest and most flavourful pork chops I've had ANYWHERE. The reviewers leaving anything less than 5 stars don't know what they are talking about. I got the mixed platter and it was incredible. Every single ingredient was done perfectly and was an explosion of flavours in my mouth. I just wished I had more stomach space to eat an extra portion of everything. The pork chop was infused with a delicious smoky aroma, while being sweet and juicy at the same time. The pork skin, pork sausage, pickled vegetables, fried egg, and egg loaf (they call it "roll") were all masterpieces in their own right. Combined together with the soft broken rice into a huge and hearty plate, it was well worth every single cent. Please find time to visit this place if you're in HCM! It seems to be a family run business and they know what they are doing. They do grabfood as well if you can't find the time to go down in person.

Cơm Tấm Ba Ghiền is the kind of place that makes you understand why people line up. The three of us ordered broadly across the pork chop menu and added soups—everything arrived excellent. The pork chop is soft, properly juicy, and deeply seasoned. Unpretentious food, executed with absolute confidence.
