This place is almost like a theme park. Many different snack bars and restaurants available on both of the hills, and the vibe is terrific!
Amazing hike & location for views. It gets busy so I recommend going early. They have a few stores at the top & coffee and food shops. I didn’t go all the way to the top via the cable car but the views were still amazing from the part that you hike.
Great views Marvel at how they were able to build cable cars up those two high mountains. The only tiresome part is going during peak season- the queues are longggggggggggg
Sugar mountain was amazing second time up went few years when I was in Rio for first time ! Amazing amazing experience. Love the views perfect views of whole of Rio . You take two gondolas to the top . If you are a student or senior pls note you get 50 percent off . The lines to buy in person not bad at all . The views so so beautiful, there is stores and restaurants at top . There was a dj , singer and man playing an instrument 🎷 very cool experience . We went at night supper cool experience. One of our highlights Highly Recommended !!!
You really need to get lucky to not stand in line for five hours. I went there Wednesday around 4 PM. Sunset was 6:30 PM and there was no line. There was a DJ plan at some point and everybody were trying to come down all at the same time. Of course there was a line to go with the cable car, but you should also know there’s another option which is take the hike down. They ask you to sign a waiver in case you get bit by a snake, but hopefully you don’t. But that will save you a couple hours waiting in line for the cable car. Honestly, the hike down is maybe 25 minutes. But it will be dark so taking consideration if something happens, you’re kind of screwed. That would be my biggest recommendation. You can also hike up, but it’s so hot that I would never do it. Have fun and enjoy.
