We had an absolutely wonderful stay at the Santa Teresa Hotel RJ - MGallery. While it might not have the over-the-top opulence of an ultra-luxury resort, it is a fantastic 5-star hotel that delivers excellent service, great amenities, and a very comfortable atmosphere. The Highlights • Spacious Rooms: The rooms are very large—or at least the one we received was—providing plenty of space to relax and unwind after a day out. • Dining & Breakfast: The on-site restaurant is lovely, and the breakfast served every morning was great. There were sometimes little misses at breakfast, but that is to be expected as this isn't an over-the-top luxury experience, and it certainly didn't take away from the overall quality of our stay. • Outstanding Service & Special Touches: The staff went above and beyond. Bottled water was always just a quick phone call away, which we really appreciated. The most memorable touch, however, was when the hotel mailed our postcards out for us completely free of charge—a small gesture that left a lasting impression! • Activities & Location: The hotel offers a great variety of activities. We took them up on a walking tour of the neighborhood, which was a fantastic way to explore the area. Verdict If you are looking for a highly attentive, beautifully run hotel with incredible hospitality, this is the place. I highly recommend it and we would happily come back anytime! What a nice hotel! WOW! The hotel is very clean, and same for the room. The pool and gardens are very well maintained. I was there with my son for his first time in Rio, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left, everything was perfect. Everyone was so kind with us, always smiling and there to respond to our needs. Staff from the reception, at the restaurant, at the entrance, were all amazing!our dinner at Térèze was delicious. The hotel is perfectly located in Santa Teresa neighborhood, close to everything. Obrigado por todo! Eu volataria con certeza na proxima vez que estarei no Rio :) Martin

We stayed 3 nights at this amazing hotel. The historic, botique feel was very fun and special. The views were outstanding. It felt safe and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was awesome. Alex at the bar restaurant was exceptional for us. The room staff was attentive to even the little details. We loved the Terese restaurant. My favorite was also the breakfast and the staff there. My only regret was that the Spa area was booked the day we had for that activity.

I had considered staying at Santa Theresa but ultimately decided that a beachfront hotel was more practical. When my return flight was canceled suddenly I found myself taking advantage of the proximity of the hotel to the airport. I only regret that I didn’t have more time. This gem of a hotel is full of historic character and modern comfort. Staff were warm, the rooms spacious and the views incomparable. The surrounding neighborhood is a bit lively at night full of twists and turns to explore, and with steep inclines and many stairways this literally is not for the faint of heart. But even if you’re ideally fit, the vistas will leave you breathless. I’ll be back.

I just went to the spa to get a facial. Friendly service but the actual facial left a lot to be desired. Was very basic and too slow. Every step took like 10 min to clean, 10 min to apply , to run down the clock. The speakers were staticy so had to ask them to turn off the music. The locker room and relaxation area was old and not cleaned sufficiently. Mirror was dirty, table was swiped down and the lounge chairs were unkept. I do not recommend this place and was overpriced. I didn’t leave relaxed and paid 448 reals for the service.
