An interesting museum with a strong focus on science, sustainability, and the future. The architecture is impressive and the location by the waterfront is a big plus. Some exhibitions are engaging, while others feel a bit abstract or less memorable. Worth visiting if you’re nearby, but expectations should be kept moderate.
We did not visit the museum but only the exterior and the lobby. Its amazing striking architecture and location by the sea is worth visiting. It's one of Calatrava's masterpieces and easy reachable from the downtown area of Rio which has many other attractions nearby
Museu do Amanhã is such a unique and impressive place to visit in Rio. The architecture alone is worth the trip—it looks futuristic and stands out beautifully along the waterfront. Inside, the exhibits are interactive and thought-provoking, focusing on science, sustainability, and the future of our planet. It’s not a traditional museum, which makes the experience even more interesting. The views outside by the bay are also really nice and add to the overall visit. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area.
Visiting the Museu do Amanhã was absolutely incredible. From the moment I approached the building, I was blown away by its futuristic design — the sweeping white beams and open, airy spaces immediately make you feel like you’re stepping into the future. Inside, sunlight poured through the huge windows, casting patterns on the floors and exhibits, and every corner revealed a new perspective that made me stop and just admire the architecture. Walking along the reflective pools outside, with Guanabara Bay shimmering in the background, was magical. I found myself constantly taking photos and just soaking in the beauty. It wasn’t just a museum visit — it was a full sensory experience that left me inspired and amazed.
☔️ Perfect rainy day activity in Rio 🇧🇷✨ I visited the Museum of Tomorrow and honestly, if you love space, science, cosmology, and interactive museums, this place is SO worth it 🌎🚀🔭 also, tickets are free! The exhibits were super informative and I really appreciated that almost everything had English options too. Some exhibits are reading-based while others actually speak out loud to you, which made the experience feel way more immersive. My favorite exhibit was the two scarves twisting together in the wind 🌬️🧣 such a simple concept but weirdly mesmerizing to watch. A lot of the installations are massive and interactive, so it never feels repetitive. You can easily spend 2+ hours here without getting bored. Definitely recommend adding this to your Rio itinerary, especially on a rainy day ☁️
