Loved our stay at Janeiro Hotel. The hotel is located in a great area and the decor is just beautiful with so much attention to detail. Breakfast was great with a lot of healthy options. It is a bit pricey for what it offers (rooms are quite small, no gym and the pool is tiny) but we would definitely recommend it.
This hotel is a scam! Let’s start with the rooms: they are exceptionally noisy. The double glazing is useless because the sealing is poor; you can hear the street noise perfectly. Additionally, the doors have a strange mechanism that makes it impossible to close them quietly, so you hear every single neighbor. A showerhandle for the ladies is completely missing. The room is poorly equipped; there isn't even a place to sit. As for the pool area, it feels full once there are five people in it. And it doesn't even have lieflat chairs and there is shadow all day long! While the staff is friendly, they are unprofessionally trained. They don't provide clear instructions during check-in, failing to explain how things in the room work, how the beach service operates, or even where breakfast is located. I would recommend everyone to book a different hotel. This place is not worth the money and, in my opinion, a total scam.
I’ve only had breakfast here and gone to the spa. The breakfast is world class. A welcome break from the usual extremely tasty and yet very unhealthy breakfasts of Rio. There is an array of vegan options, warm savoury dishes and the full spectrum of Brazilian fresh and cooked food. Some of the best fruit, fresh coconut water and excellent coffee. The spa is small and simpler than some of the big 5 star hotels but the staff are very sweet. The shop is great.
Very overpriced and definitely not a 5 star hotel. Rooms are VERY small, at this price you can find much better options. The picture is of the ironing board they provided us, it's a good illustration of their standards 🫠 we complained about this and other things. Elevators takes ages because used for services, bikes can only be used for 2 hours and you cannot park them, list goes on...
Janeiro Hotel is a spectacular property that sets a new benchmark for luxury hospitality in the city. The architecture, art integration, and overall design are stunning, and the rooms are impeccably detailed, elegant, and comfortable. Every space feels intentional and elevated. What truly made my stay exceptional was the concierge service, especially Thayan. His level of professionalism, care, and attention to detail is outstanding. He consistently went above and beyond, anticipating needs and handling everything with efficiency and genuine warmth. William represents exactly the standard of service Janeiro should be proud of, and I strongly hope the hotel administration formally recognizes his work.. Overall, an extraordinary hotel with exceptional people like William who truly elevate the experience.
