I couldn’t recommend this hotel more - the service was exceptional, the location is fantastic and the breakfast was great too! The staff were so kind and helpful, and we are so grateful for all the assistance they provided - including with finding a box large enough to pack our newly purchased frame! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Another underrated perk was the hotel’s proximity to Ipanema beach and the hotel’s sunbeds and umbrellas! Thank you so much to everyone!
Fantastic hotel in a perfect location for bopping between Ipanema and Copacabana. The rooftop pool, spa and bar were fantastic with special thanks to Alexander for massages. At the bar and at Arp, tremendous thanks to Gabriel who was knowledgeable and went well above and beyond every time. Thanks also to Moises and Markus for always having the best recommendations, making sure we stayed hydrated and always smiling. We’ll always come back to this hotel.
I didn’t stay at the hotel but I did dine at the restaurant several times and enjoyed the food! But one of the workers at the front desk of the hotel provided the absolute best customer service! His name was MARCUS! He was so professional, kind, knowledgeable, and incredibly helpful! Because of him I will definitely be booking a stay at the hotel for my next visit in Rio!
Arpoador sits right between Ipanema and Copacabana, with immediate beach access and an easy hop to Leblon or the city center. The ground-floor restaurant can get busy, but the private rooftop is a true oasis — the pool is the perfect size, the view never gets old, and it might just be the best view in all of Rio. Drinks are excellent, especially from bartender Cassius, and while the food menu is concise, it’s more than sufficient. There’s also a small gym and sauna, which is a nice bonus. Rooms are on the tight side but efficiently laid out. Service really sets this place apart. Gabriel was outstanding — he shared great local tips and even secured reservations at hard-to-get restaurants. Every recommendation was a winner. Highly recommended if you want a classic Rio experience.
A significant amount of cash went missing from our room during housekeeping on the first morning of our four-day stay. The incident was reported immediately and a police case was opened. We remained at the hotel for three additional days, yet senior management never met with us or spoke to us personally, despite the seriousness of the situation. All communication was limited to WhatsApp. The handling of this matter was extremely disappointing. Future guests should be very cautious and avoid keeping cash or valuables in their room.
