Galeto Sat’s is known for incredible food in Copacabana, and it absolutely lives up to the reputation. If you’re looking for a proper Brazilian dining experience, this is a must-visit. We arrived at around 6pm on a Friday and were seated immediately as a table of two, while larger groups had to wait a bit longer – so it’s worth arriving early if you can. The atmosphere is traditional and full of character, with a really authentic feel. The staff were wonderful – friendly, efficient, and very helpful throughout. We started with a full portion of garlic bread, which was so good. For mains, we had the famous Galeto Sat’s chicken, served with a mix of lemon, orange, garlic, and pepper. The chicken is grilled fresh nearby and the juices are incredible – full of flavour and cooked perfectly. For sides, we ordered the broccoli rice (which I’m now obsessed with), mashed potato, and a simple salad. Everything was delicious – the salad was fresh, the rice packed with flavour, and the mashed potato very tasty (although we were given a full portion instead of a half, so it was a lot!). For two people including four beers and service charge, the total came to around £33, which is amazing value for the quality and portion sizes. Overall, an excellent meal and one of the best dining experiences in Rio - fantastic food, great atmosphere, and brilliant value. Highly recommended.

We came here specifically to try chicken hearts and were happy to find this spot, especially knowing it was visited by the late Anthony Bourdain. Based on how generous the portions are, we kept it simple and ordered just three starters, and that was more than enough. The garlic bread was excellent. Soft, loaded with garlic, and completely addictive. The chicken hearts were the star for us. Super tender, juicy, and full of flavour. The slow-roasted pork belly had great seasoning, but for our taste it was a bit dry and chewy. Beer was ice cold, exactly what you want on a hot, humid day. The space itself is small and very local, with just fans for cooling, nothing fancy, but that’s part of the charm. Honest food, big portions, quick services and a true neighbourhood feel. Highly recommended!

Came here for the Anthony Bourdain hype and was worth it. Even though this is famous for chicken heart, we don’t like it unfortunately so we had their picanha and garlic bread which were good (garlic bread is super garlic-y which I love). The staff however is not too friendly.

The garlic bread has toooo much garlic. It was good but not great. Chicken heart is amazing. The portion is more than enough for 5 people.

Feels very local, delicious chicken and meats. You get a really nice variety by ordering various portions with few people. Also decently priced.
