We had a wonderful dinner at Three Coats and it was a perfect way to end our Iceland trip. The food was beautifully presented and full of flavour. We tried the whale sashimi, which was surprisingly delicate and fresh, the halibut was perfectly cooked and very tender, and the grilled lamb was juicy and rich in taste. Every dish was well-executed and truly enjoyable. The ambience was cosy and elegant, and the service was warm and attentive. A great place for a special dinner and for experiencing high-quality Icelandic cuisine. Highly recommended for seafood and meat lovers alike.
We had a wonderful experience at this place. Extremely high-quality fish and very good service from the waiter To be honest, I had never tasted salmon with a flavor like that. I understand it’s farmed, just like the ones you find in other countries, but perhaps Icelandic fish farms are special.. The point is, it was delicious! Without a doubt, this is a traditional spot where you can go to eat and escape the tourist areas, where it isn't worth eating anywhere else
The most tender horse steak I’ve ever tasted. Absolutely incredible. The staff were amazing as well, welcoming and attentive, and made the whole experience feel special. I had such a great time.
We’ve chooses this restaurant mainly for the whale meat, one of the fewer restaurants offering this during that period of time. We’ve tried 3 different plates of it and had some other fish as well. The whale was delicious, one of the plates didn’t look or teste amazing (it was still good); overall it was a great experience, amazing staff; and nice location. Worth to try it!
Small offbeat place not far from the church. 3 different sections for seating and mid range in price, service and food amazing. Smoked puffin, smoked salmon, mixed herring and seafood gratin all very well presented and layered in flavour.
