Quite busy on summer. Busy car parking. Small beach is cute with sauna, you can go for swim and back to sauna. and also service boat to Viðey Island. Nice view, good way to long walk to downtown.
Reykjavik! Iceland's capital and largest city, known for its vibrant cultural scene, stunning natural beauty, *Things to Do* - *Hallgrímskirkja*: Visit the iconic church and enjoy the views from its tower - *Harpa*: Explore the stunning concert hall and its unique architecture - *Laugavegur*: Shop, dine, and explore the city's main street Blue Lagoon*: Relax in the geothermal spa and enjoy the milky blue waters
The cruise terminal was decent as far as terminals go. A short to medium walk to get outside security. There is a free shuttle to the town center that runs about every 20 minutes. The shuttle was very crowded each time we rode it and in either direction to or from the port. Be prepared to have to stand in the shuttle during the 15 min. drive. There are taxis available at the port as well but I'm jot sure how you contact them from the city to get back. My Uber app said there were no Ubers in the city so that's not an option.
Get off the cruise ship, we took free shuttle bus from here to Harpa Concert Hall! At the same time more than two cruises were there. Not time to see if there is consumer information there. The space somewhere is under so strict ion. Feel the city is growing!
While still partly under construction, I thought that the shuttle pickup, taxi area, and tour bus areas where all very nicely laid out. Definitely a port that has tourism in mind.
