Hi Eco Hostel has a great atmosphere for all ages, we found it a lovely place to meet people and enjoyed the cafe bar and kitchen areas. Our superior double room was very comfortable on our first stay, but the double room was less comfortable and it was really noisy on Friday night, so we wouldnt choose it again on a weekend. But on other nights, it is an ideal place to meet people.
I really enjoyed my stay at Loft HI! I stayed in an 8 person dorm for a week, and it was such a great landing base for a busy vacation! The facilities are great in the rooms, ample space for your belongings. The beds are comfy, the shower pressure was AMAZING! There’s a great community vibe there. I wish I had tried out some of the bar/events, but the coffee upstairs is so good. The staff are helpful with anything you may need, and all very nice. And the kitchen is equipped with whatever you need, or if you just want to sit and meet people! I felt really safe there as well, things were clean, people were kind. Great week— thank you!
So I never stayed on the hostel so can't give any opinions about that. But the bar is just amazing, it's nostalgic for me personally be because it's the first place I visit after I arrive to Reykjavik. If you wanna see locals and hangout with intention ones go to this bar , amazing view and nice bar . There is a dog 🐶 behind the counter if you'll be lucky you can pet him haha. And they are generous enough to let you in for some time and welcome you with free water as most of the bars in Iceland , and lots of games and events and activities. Thanks loft 😉
Beautiful and friendly hostel. Rooms are cleaned daily. Very friendly staff. The owner is lovely and has a beautiful dog. The bar area is a plus, full of sofas, chairs, and all kinds of games. Last but not least, a magnificent terrace overlooking the main street downtown. The kitchen is open 24/7. Super central location.
Wow! I really loved this location and the community was great! I have stayed at multiple hostels in my travels so I am familiar with shared spaces. I stayed in the 8 room female dorm with a shared bathroom. They provide ear plugs and all the guests I encountered were courteous. The price was phenomenal for all of the amenities. I used the kitchen daily and loved all of the community space to hang out. I was able to store my luggage upon early arrival and for my late departure. They even have a bar and esspresso/coffee. They have an amazing rooftop area as well! The staff were very kind and helpful. I was impressed by how clean and organized they keep everything. I would definitely recommend this place to any other solo travelers. 10 out of 10.
