Stayed here for 5 days during my recent to Iceland. Its very chic and comfy! Our room had a great view of the church! The staff are super friendly and helpful! Its affordable and quiet for a hostel. Highly recommend! (Do bring shower shoes for the shared showers tho. The bathrooms get a little icky after a lot of use).
Amazing hostel, great view and very comfortable rooms. Tha amenities were also surprisingly good, lot of bathrooms and showers. I would say excellent price to quality ratio (I was outside lf season, april). The bar offers good variety of drinks in fair prices as per reykjavik. I would recommend for a short stay, longer can become uncomfortable. Close to the centre 15min walk and to the BSI 20 min walk.
Visited in May 2026 The location of this hostel is incredible. It's an easy walk to the surrounding attractions in Reykjavik, and very close to the sculpture and shore walk along the ocean. The staff are nice and helpful. I stayed in the compact double private room, it was spacious and very clean. Because it is a hostel, it can get loud in the night and evenings. Overall, I would recommend this hostel if you are visiting Reykjavik.
The 42-bed dorm would be ten times better if it had curtains; there’s no space for large luggage. The room doors don’t close properly, so they’re basically always open to everyone. You have to pay for a towel, as well as a lock for your locker.
We booked this on the day of as our tour got cancelled and we had to find alternate accommodations, and really enjoyed our stay. It's labelled as both a hostel and hotel, but we stayed in the hotel portion. Nice clean room with a private bathroom. Our room looked out onto a small patio, which had some construction plastic/tarps which were blowing around a lot in the wind overnight, making loud noises (but we were able to sleep reasonably well in spite of this). Good location, cool art/vibe, and the prices were pretty reasonable, especially for a last-minute booking.
