Since we were staying next door at the Hlemmur Suites in Reykjavik, it was super convenient to have most of our meals at the food court. There are 4 or 5 restaurants inside along with a big bar and a gelato place. Seating can be limited at rush hour, food is expensive but its expected in iceland, and the food ranged from great to mid. Convenient and lively was it for me.
Tried both the pizza and Vietnamese - the pizza was exceptional (order the Umberto-pepperoni and fig!) Also tried the Vietnamese - it was lovely not my fav but not bad either - pho portion is very generous. Staff are both were so lovely. The bar to the right as you walk in - tried both the sauv (with pho) and Aperol with pizza (no brainer). If choosing one, got for the Sauvignon. Both good but expensive - about €18 each. Happy hour 4-6pm ✨ Pizza was my favourite by far.
We are big fans of the Icelandic food halls, and this one did not disappoint. Plenty of food options. I went with a pepperoni pizza which had the perfect blend of cheese and sauce and had a generous amount of tangy pepperoni. My wife had the fish and chips which was a large portion of cod complemented with a delicious side salad. We wrapped up the meal with gelato which was smooth and creamy and simply incredible. Great food hall dining experience.
Foodhall located about 300m from my hotel. Nice open layout with a few food outlets offering food from pizza, Indian food to fish and chips and Vietnamese food. Seemed to be a mix of locals and tourists. Prices seed pretty standard. Vibe wasn't as good at the Posthus Food hall which is more centrally located. A nice place for a drink maybe en route to town.
I’ve always liked the food hall concept, this one didn’t disappoint! Some good choices for food here, I went with the fish and chips! Hot and fresh fish that was battered just right! Fries were awesome as well, crispy and not soft. The hot dog was very good and priced well. Hot dog and fries for about 2,000 krona.
