Came here for some of the best comfort food in Reykjavik. Plokkfiskur (baked codfish + potato mash) and the slightly sweet rye bread was so ingenious and definitely gave comfort food. This was the 3rd stop in the wake up Reykjavik walking food tour with Bonnie. 10/10!

Went with friends and couldn’t recommend more! The food is wonderful and very reasonably priced, and the art is top notch. They also rent rooms for meetings. This is a hidden gem!!!

This is a great place. Very nicely done interior and the plokkfiskur was outstanding. Well worth a visit

I went to a solo performance in Hannesarholt. The show was good, but the staff is a little abrupt and not really welcoming. We really felt awkward when we arrived and instead of welcoming us, the lady in charge just stopped me from finding a seat and asked very harshly "where is your ticket?". My mom was standing right behind me with the tickets, so this was really uncalled for and uncomfortable. Also, during the intermission, you could buy soda and beer, but the did not have chocolates or anything to munch on. The chairs were rather uncomfortable too, just your classic conference chairs, made to make you want to stand up and leave.

Amazing food, history, and hospitality. Feels like a home away from home!
