This was our first meal when landing in Iceland. The food was delicious and the service was so lovely and kind to us. It was somewhat of a birthday meal as well, so the staff also presented a special dessert for us (thought it was free, but I guess I should've known better with how expensive food is in Iceland) The seafood was perfectly cooked to be tender and so much flavor. As good as every dish was, I have to say I really liked the complimentary bread appetizer given at the start of the meal. The bread was aromatic and the salt and dip was a perfect complement.
We found this place by chance and what a great place to eat and beautiful decor the service was outstanding, they went above and beyond for us and accommodated to all our needs. Food was fantastic, beautifully served, Portions were large with fresh ingredients. I can’t recommend this highly enough. Thank you to all the wonderful staff here especially Ásgeir, brilliant service and so helpful and always smiling.
Great to have the fish trio for lunch, great value for money and you get the best fresh fish of the day. Absolutely delicious. Splurge for dessert if you have room.
Absolute Perfect First Class Dining and i couldn‘t ever say that and i know it‘s not so good to speak in absolutes but this Experience is Perfection! From the Server Nina over the Dishes to the Drinks and the Ambience around 100 out of 10! We are thrilled and happy that we will also stay another Day and 2 Nights in the Hotel nearby and are already excited to get Breakfast tomorrow!!!
We went on new year's eve and decided to to go for the festive taster menu for 2. We were a little disappointed with the food the bread, tuna, cod, chicken were the stand outs for us. The beef tenderloin was quite tough and the dessert didn't hit the mark for us, it felt somewhat over engineered. That being said the service was top notch. Magnus our waiter was attentive, professional, fun and very accommodating.
