To be honest, the room conditions are just so - so. I booked a double - bed room. The quilt was thin, and the mattress didn't seem to be of good quality. Especially the soundproofing. I could hear the noise from downstairs in the middle of the night. But the front - desk staff at the hotel were really nice and their service was super considerate. It really touched me. The location is just perfect. There are a lot of restaurants nearby. I'd recommend choosing a room on the 4th floor 'cause there's a big terrace. Though I don't think it's really like a balcony. The price is neither too high nor too low compared to other hotels. All in all, it's still pretty good.
Had a really great stay here our first night in Reykjavik!! It’s in a very convenient location so we parked our car and walked literally to every place we wanted to see. There’s a Starbucks attached to the hotel which is nice to grab coffee in the mornings. The beds were comfy, the shower was clean and had Loccitane products. The only downside was the lighting. Wish they’d add more lights to the room!
Nice clean hotel, staff were very friendly and welcoming. The location is great, minutes from shops, bars and restaurants but still very quiet. Plenty of bus stops close by too. The room was great, deluxe double with balcony. We managed to sit out there every night and see the aurora borealis which was incredible.
I am honestly shocked this hotel is rated as a 4-star property, because the experience was nowhere near that level. From the moment we arrived, it was disappointing. There is nowhere to pull up and unload your bags the street is a narrow one-way with barely any space to stop. There’s no parking lot, so you to walk about 7 minutes to an overnight parking lot just to leave your car which would be fine if they had people helping with bags. When we checked in, no one offered to help with our luggage. They actually don’t have staff for that at all for this which is surprising and inconvenient for a “4-star” hotel. The front desk wasn’t friendly, and the overall welcome felt cold and unaccommodating. The room itself was average and extremely small, definitely not what you’d expect for the price point. To make things worse, at checkout right in the morning they immediately denied my check-out, telling me the housekeeping supervisor denied any late checkout today, something I’ve personally never experienced at any hotel. The attitude from staff was dismissive. The only positive is the location, but there are plenty of other hotels in Reykjavik with great locations and far better service. We stayed in several during our trip to Iceland, and I would recommend others. Overall, this property seriously needs to reevaluate what it means to operate at a 4-star level.
Location is PERFECT! Service couldn’t be topped. A super warm welcome by the wonderful reception team. Rooms are the perfect size for a city break. We were lucky enough to experience the northern lights right from the balcony. A memory that will stay with us for a long time. Thank you, for a wonderful stay. Highly recommend, and when we return at some point in the future, we will for sure use this hotel again! ❤️
