We travelled to Queenstown for a short holiday with colleagues and visited the World Bar for dinner on our first night. It was a fantastic start to the trip. We thoroughly enjoyed all the food and drinks, with the buffalo chicken wings and chips being the standout dishes of the evening. The portions were very generous so that we couldn’t finish all of our meals. The cocktails were some of the smoothest we’ve ever had, and the atmosphere was lively and welcoming. The location is excellent, making it a great spot to relax and enjoy a night out in Queenstown. Overall, we had a wonderful experience and would definitely visit again the next time we’re in Queenstown. 🍸🍗
Very fun silent disco night! Weekly every Wednesday. Free entry and headphones with 3 different tracks you can jam to. Great atmosphere and very good time! Pure bliss!
Food was fantastic. I got the World Burger with cheese and my wife got the Korean Fried Chicken (KFC) Burger. Perhaps I'm a bit biased, being American myself, but I found the very American-style World Burger to be the best burger on my trip through Australia and New Zealand. Also, they had Heinz Ketchup 🤤 again, perhaps American bias, but it's just so much better than the usual Tomato Sauce lol. My wife thought the KFC burger was flavorful; sweet with a little bit of spice. She really enjoyed it.
I had the most bland fish tacos of my life at World Bar. Not even the “spicy aioli” could save these things. No seasoning in the fish batter and none on the slaw. My server was nice but all the other workers kept congregating at a table right next to ours and they were being incredibly loud and disruptive.
We kind of fell into coming to dinner here and we so glad we did. Warm cosy atmosphere, we tucked into their happy tea pots and we happily surprised at the meals. 3 huge tacos, a massive portion of fish and chips with mushy peas and the star of the show the korean fried chicken wings all at a great price. Wish we knew how good it was going to be sooner so we could of tried more. Located just down from the waterfront right next to its sister Yonder.
