Loved the food and service here. Had the oysters. They were absolutely divine. Today’s were from Clevedon Coast, North Island. Amazing. Then had the lamb chops with fries. Cooked perfectly. Paired with a local sauvignon blanc, Amisfield. Bartender was super helpful and friendly.
I had a very enjoyable Christmas dinner here. The steak was absolutely delicious perfectly cooked, tender, and full of flavor. The seafood paella was also very nice, rich and satisfying. The oysters were especially fresh and tasty. Overall, a wonderful dining experience
Excellent food made with fresh ingredients. The staff took the time to explain the ingredients to us, which we really appreciated. Our waiter was extremely friendly and accommodating, making the whole experience very pleasant. Definitely recommended!
I had a wonderful dining experience at Captains. The food was stunning and the service was excellent. I was served by Hasan this evening, he was very warm and welcoming and provided some top notch service. He was very attentive to the section that I was seated in and was swift with taking my order and clearing the table without any pressure to finish my food. The atmosphere was very relaxed, a good place to have conversation. The music isn’t overpowering and the seating is comfortable and cosy. Tonight I had the Lamb Rack, the flavours were impeccable and everything was cooked to perfection. If you’re especially hungry the portion might not satisfy you, but it strikes a good balance between fancy and filling. I for one had room for dessert and went with the apple pie. It was a perfect way to finish the evening, striking a good balance between being sweet and tart. If you’re in Queenstown it’s definitely worth checking out!
Chose this after recommendations from people on our Milford Sound trip. Wasn't disappointed at all. Cheerful, friendly service provided a relaxing atmosphere for us. The food was really lovely, beautiful steaks. Would definitely recommend this place.
