⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Review A quiet and relaxing museum with a surprisingly large number of artworks. There were many pieces by famous artists, and I especially felt that there were quite a few works by Picasso. Even though it was such an impressive place, it was not crowded when I visited on the weekend, so it felt like a hidden gem. It was a perfect place to step away from the busy city, enjoy art slowly, learn something new, and relax at the same time. A wonderful spot for anyone who likes museums, modern art, famous artists, and peaceful places.

A very well-curated collection that combines well-known artists (Picasso, Monet, Klimt, etc.) with notable Czech artists to demonstrate how the Czech art scene responds to and interprets major artistic trends of its time. It places art in its historical context through storytelling, but the descriptions are not overwhelming—the artworks are well-positioned and thus engage in a dialogue with one another. It is a very dynamic exhibition that combines different artistic styles to show how certain periods were interpreted in contrasting ways. The exhibition space is used excellently - it is spacious and bright, so there is plenty of room to breathe and process the artworks. I can definitely recommend!

The National Gallery of Prague has some of the most hypnotizing, beautiful artwork that I've ever seen. From Picasso and cubist paintings to beautiful depictions of Prague, there is an enormous amount of artwork that we adored. We were in the gallery for hours, and highly recommend it to fans of art in Prague. We went with our friends, and I can't wait to bring my family one day.

A truly essential visit for modern and contemporary art lovers in Prague. The building itself is a monumental and spacious example of Functionalist architecture (Veletržní palác, 1925-1929), providing a calm and excellent setting for the collections. The exhibitions are fantastically curated. Collection highlights include masterpieces from international artists like Monet, Picasso, Gauguin, Van Gogh, Matisse, and Rodin. What makes this gallery truly special, however, is the thoughtful and powerful integration of Czech masters (such as Václav Špála and Josef Šíma) displayed alongside the international collection—perfect for discovering new, influential artists. From early 20th-century Cubism to Expressionism and contemporary works, the quality and volume of art here are exceptional. Highly recommended for the inspiring collection and excellent curation.

The National Gallery Prague is a great place to see some masterworks by Klimt, Picasso, Monet, Cezanne, Kupka and many others. It was unbelievable how many great paintings there were in this open space that was not croweded at all. At least not for us on a Friday in April. The place is huge and there is a lot to see, so leave it some time if you are interested in art. We loved the groupings presented with the permanent collection. They have seating areas and a large cafe to hang out and get refreshements. Some of the areas could be dressed up more, but there was truly too much to see in a day. An underated place and highly recommended for art lovers.
