I am really enjoyed visiting the National Museum in Prague. The building itself is absolutely stunning, with beautiful architecture and an impressive interior. The National Museum – Historical Building (Historická budova Národního muzea) is one of the most beautiful and important cultural landmarks in Prague. Located at the top of Wenceslas Square, the building’s grand Neo-Renaissance architecture immediately stands out. Inside, the museum is spacious and elegant, with impressive halls, detailed interiors, and exhibitions covering Czech history, nature, and culture. The main staircase and dome area are especially stunning and give the place a very majestic atmosphere. They’ve got so much stuff too see it’s really interesting. Personally I loved the astronomy area. They even had asteroids from several decades. Even put one on display to feel one. The geology room was another wonder. It’s just unreal how much of Earth’s nature we have yet to see and discover. It’s a great mix of history and architecture, even for people who are not usually into museums. Overall, it’s educational, grand, and definitely worth visiting.

National Museum Prague completely exceeded my expectations. Honestly, the experience starts even before entering the main museum because the new building itself already feels impressive. The display design throughout the exhibitions is incredibly well thought-out and modern. You can tell they really invested time into storytelling rather than just placing objects behind glass. I especially loved the sections about Czech and Czechoslovak history. The social and political timeline presentations were super engaging and easy to follow, even if you don’t know much about the country beforehand. It’s actually a fantastic place to understand how Czech history evolved through the centuries. And once you think you’re done… there’s still more 😄 there’s a passageway connecting you to the historical building where things get even bigger. You’ll find exhibitions about humanity, animals, insects, Christianity, stones, minerals and all sorts of natural history. We spent way more time there than expected. The museum staff were also genuinely friendly and helpful the whole time, which made the experience even nicer. A few tips from my visit: * I’d definitely recommend buying tickets upfront if you can, although you can still buy them at the venue pretty easily. * Start from the top floor and work your way down. Most of the visually impressive stuff and best views are up there. * Take your time with the building itself too. The architecture alone is worth the visit. Honestly, one of the best museums I’ve visited in Europe so far.

It never feels boring, there’s always something interesting around the corner. You can easily spend a few hours here without even realizing it. Overall, it was an amazing experience and definitely worth visiting. I enjoyed every bit of it and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Prague! ✨
