Had a really nice evening at Restaurace Malostranská beseda. The staff were super friendly and easygoing, just good vibes from the start. The beer was honestly great (had to get more than one 😄). The place itself feels really cozy, and the music was on point — not too loud, just right to enjoy the atmosphere. Definitely a spot I’d come back to when in Prague.
This place was recommended by a tour guide as a nice authentic Czech experience. The food is delicious. Absolutely fantastic. The service was fast. The waiters were a bit cold and looked annoyed. However, I’ve read that it is a standard behaviour in hospitality industry here.
Went for a quick dinner. Got the Beer Goulash that came immediately and was very good. You must read carefully the menu if you are not used with Czech food, maybe ask the waiter, the other thing I ordered was unexpected different from what I thought that it would be.
Food was decent but the long wait was an issue. We waited about 90 minutes for our food as a table of four, despite the waitress assuring us multiple times it would be out shortly. The duck and pork knuckle were quite dry. The beef goulash was not up to par with other restaurants in the area. Overall, a disappointing experience.
This really was an excellent dining experience. Lovely food, cheap beer and great service. A perfect spot to take in the city a little out of the way but with a welcoming atmosphere.
