I came here first around 11am just to check out their menu and I use google translate. Pretty sure I was the only foreigner eating here as most people are locals. I then came back around lunch time and sure thing there was a long line up but not to worry though it moved quickly. I got the salmon and potatoes. Salmon cooked perfectly I meant it, PERFECT as in not undercooked nor overcooked. So good! The only downside is they don’t have washroom, only a sink to wash hands.
The best Czech food I’ve ever had at a great price :) A very wide range of flavors, from traditional local dishes to international ones. The chicken roulade with sauce and knedlíčky was absolutely delicious!! I also loved that the daily menu is posted a day in advance – from a tourist’s perspective that’s really helpful, since you can look up every dish beforehand. Another big plus is the atmosphere in the restaurant – the kindness, the smiles, and the sense of unity among such different people visiting this place. Highly recommended!!
Favorite local buffet with all the traditional czech meals to must try! I can highly recommend this place, its true local and the atmosphere is the best. Interior never changed from 90s and still running well. Service is nice. Prices are still fair.
First and foremost, be aware that knowing some Czech will be helpful when visiting this place. That said, it truly lives up to its name. If you're looking for a quick, delicious, and budget-friendly lunch, this is the perfect spot. The atmosphere can feel a bit crowded, but in a lively and charming way. The service is friendly and efficient, making for an overall great experience.
I loved it for its authenticity and the prices were unbeatable. The fact that locals come here very often is proof enough of the quality. You have to make some efforts though (at least out of respect and also because there's no English menu) and ask in Czech (just Google Translate the menu that is available on their website before coming in). There's a Mc'Donalds just nearby and I frankly don't get the dozens of people who choose to go there instead of this place.
