Wow what an experience! Every dish was presented beautifully and dramatically, our waiter really had a flair for performing. We received endless amuse bouches and ended up eating so much food we could barely finish the many desserts and had to basically roll home. The food was an extremely innovative take on Czech cuisine, although I did not enjoy a few dishes overall the experience was amazing. Could not fault how smoothly the dinner went and the flawless execution. Also my partner had the vegetarian menu and it was just as delicious and thoughtful as the regular menu. One thing I disliked was how most of the dishes were extremely salty but overall they spaced out the dishes well enough that it did not become overwhelming
I visited this Michelin-starred restaurant with high expectations, as I truly enjoy dining at places of this level. The concept is clearly very well thought out, and you can tell that a lot of work has gone into every detail. The presentation of the dishes was beautiful, and the space itself is elegant and well designed. The staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and communicative throughout the experience, which I really appreciated. However, the flavors were not to our taste. While the dishes were technically well executed, I personally felt that the flavor combinations didn’t always come together in a way that made sense or created balance. One small downside was that the sommelier left before the end of our meal, so the wine service was continued by the rest of the staff. While they handled it professionally, in a Michelin-starred setting I would have expected a more consistent presence throughout the entire dining experience. Overall, it’s a place with a strong concept and excellent service, but the cuisine didn’t quite match my personal expectations.
Exceptional gastro experience through the discovery of authentic Czech products complemented by some exotic additions, such as arctic chard. We were left impressed by the non-alcoholic pairing that enriched the full-fletched sense of Czech taste. Amazing service taht accompanied the whole evening and guiding the serving performance. Highly recommended place if you want to elevate you perception of Czech food.
Overall it was an amazing experience and we enjoyed it very much, but I do have some inputs… The food was incredible - well developed flavors, top of the line techniques, fresh and unique - but at times overwhelming to the pallet and with very few breaks between dishes. Could have desperately used a pallet cleanser. Some dishes were too salty - not at an “I am returning this” level, but at a mildly unpleasant level. The Duck dish was unbalanced. To us personally it was a bit too much. For future experiences we would prefer places that also serve a la carte. What I’ve learned over the years is that Michelin can come in many shapes and forms and this one was the most like the movies - super fancy, everything timed to perfection, synchronized professional staff, only an excessive tasting menu and an impressively quite open kitchen. But we always go on very special occasions and always get asked if we are celebrating something and get some reaction and noting. Nothing here. Which was a bit disappointing when you chose them for a 20 year anniversary… it was a 2.5 hr meal with 90% of that time needed to describe the dishes, so I guess they didn’t have time. In other words - it was a bit too uptight for me ;)
Last night we enjoyed the tasting menu with a matching wine pairing. From start to finish, it was a true culinary experience. The service was incredibly warm and friendly, with genuine interest in the guests at our table. This warm and relaxed atmosphere didn't detract from the fantastic, smooth, and efficient service. The food was beyond sublime. The wines were delicious. Highly recommended!
