We came early to test place - first Pilsner beer was not properly made, seems that they do not follow beer routine at the start of new day. When I asked staff they played dumb. Food was OK, but nothing special. As a result we cancelled reservation which was made for next day for bigger group and never spoke about place again.
I went to Prague in April 2025. On my last day, I wanted to eat at a steakhouse. I chose El Barrio de Angel. I went there early, around 5:00 PM. There was no one in the restaurant yet, but I was warmly welcomed and allowed to choose a spot. The restaurant is located underground, is very spacious, and has a nice, cozy, and homely atmosphere. Eventually, I placed my order. After not too long of a wait, my food arrived. I ended up having 300 grams of steak with baked potatoes and cream, along with a glass of water. I must say, the food was really delicious. And the price was very reasonable! In total, I spent about €18/450 CZK. El Barrio de Angel is truly a recommendation. Both for the atmosphere, the staff, and the food! I promised them I would write a good review, so here it is!
Really nice place on a good location. Food is prepared with care and variety of interesting choices is avaliable. Creative menu and grill options as well. They have daily offer which is much more meals than usual so you can chose something. Food was tasty and wonderful. We really enjoyed. Interesting sauces to chose as addition to your meal. Do not skip this place 👌
Although we were early, and there were no other guests yet, we enjoyed it Delicious 600g ribeye, side dishes. Very friendly waitresses!!
Surprisingly good. Ribs (though pork) were smoky texas style. Carne Montevidano was piquant wis bright orange taste and nice serving. Malbec Catena was also a good choice. Together with decent prices - place to return to. Minus one star for service only for absence of staff for 4 min when we arrived. And there has been noone when we left.
