Altogether, my impression of the New York Live Music Bar was extremely positive and definitely 5-star worthy. Even though it is located directly on Bangla Road... which is usually very busy and often overpriced the prices here were reasonable and fair compared to other venues in the area. The menu card shows a wide and well-structured selection: local beers like Chang and Singha, imported beers such as Heineken and Hoegaarden, a large variety of classic cocktails (Mojito, Margarita, Cosmopolitan, Long Island Iced Tea, Mai Tai, Piña Colada, Bloody Mary), shooters, aperitifs, champagne options, and a solid range of spirits including vodka, gin, rum, tequila, and cognac. Prices are clearly listed per glass and per bottle, which is very transparent and helpful. The venue itself is quite large, with many standing tables as well as seating options. Thanks to our tour guide, we received a special table and didn’t have to wait in line, which made the experience even better. I attach a new price list in my review. The air conditioning works properly—a big plus on Bangla Road—so even while dancing, it doesn’t feel overwhelmingly hot. A very special and personal highlight was the live performance. The singer was excellent, energetic, and engaging. On top of that, he sang a special song for us and mentioned us during the show because we got engaged that same day. That moment was truly unforgettable, and I am genuinely grateful for this gesture. It made the evening emotional and unique for us. The music is loud, as expected for a live music bar, and if you are in the right mood, the atmosphere is fantastic. There is a small dance floor, so you need to be mindful of space, as it can get crowded with standing and regular tables around it. Minor downsides are the low lighting at times and the QR/barcode menu not working during our visit, which makes reading the menu a bit difficult without extra light. The waiter staff seems a bit stressed, in rush I could feel their atmosphere was breaking a bit the vibe. However, these are small issues compared to the overall experience. Overall, great live music, a lively and social crowd, fair pricing for the location, a strong drink menu, good service, and a very memorable personal moment. If you enjoy live music, meeting people, and a vibrant nightlife atmosphere, I can absolutely recommend this place. An excellent experience and a clear 5-star visit for us.
My sister and I stopped by on a whim and had a great time. Incredible service and electric atmosphere. The band was amazing and they deserve a hefty raise. They kept the spirit alive all night. Definitely worth checking out if you're on Bangla Road.
We take vip table for one of my friend birthday to celebrate and then some of our friends go out and one couple left at the table but they did the other guys to sat on our table when we are back there is no space to sit , we told the staff to move the guys from our table but it take about one hour to move them , and then they said they think we’re only 3 person that why they let to open the bottle on our table there is no way to agree with this shit
A very cool bar. The music is perfect for dancing — the best! I went there with my friend, and we felt safe.
Very rude bouncer he seems the head bouncer. I was not a drunk person. I am a decent woman. He was shouting and kind of kicked me out for reasons I still not understand. . I had done nothing wrong. I was just dancing bringing good vibes, just standing at one place not moving just with my hands and hips a bit. Than- even though there was still much space around me and my friend - the one nicer bouncer told me to go where the dancing is in front of the stage, unfortunately there was almost no space there and people pushed hard into me as they had to pass by so I could not stay there and def no place to dance at all. So I go to the nicer bouncer to ask how it works and ask in a nice way, but I am not able or allowed to dance anywhere? (I was not even not wild dancing just a bit) he smiled and me didn’t say anything…so I went back to the other place before where there was a lot of space people could easy walk through and I made sure I dance so minimal so for sure it could not be a problem…than this head bouncer comes to me and starts screaming saying loud; ‘I told you twice you in or you out!! You out!! I had no awareness I had done anything wrong. So I go out than one friend ask me what happened I tried to explain than this head bouncer comes outside and tells me in aggressive way - again ; if you have anything to say say it to me!! So I try in a normal way to explain what happened, after a few words he cuts me off screaming again. We were there with 17 people and I had orrganised our staff party and thought celebrating the last part of the evening here would have been a good idea. It turned out a disaster because of this man. Our whole staff party is ruined. I feel so sad. I hope they have cameras to check my dancing. How bad it was. I see in clubs nowadays dancing is not anymore the thing. People are just standing with the phone only and apparently in this place you are not even allowed to dance only in a tiny place where therr is 1 meter space and everyone bumping into me going to the toilet in and out there Euined staff party. - off course never again. I have never been more humiliated for tiny bit of dancing and even kicked out of a club for it
