Kan Eang at Pier is a nice seafood restaurant near Chalong Pier, and the best part for me was definitely the seaside atmosphere. The restaurant has a beautiful view of the pier, boats, and the water, especially around sunset. It feels more like a proper seaside dining experience rather than a casual local seafood spot. We tried lobster, a seafood platter, pad Thai, stir-fried morning glory, and drinks. The seafood was fresh overall, and the dishes were quite steady. I especially liked the setting and the relaxed feeling of dining by the water. Prices are not cheap, especially if you order lobster or large seafood platters, so it is better for a special meal or dinner with friends rather than a budget seafood stop. I would recommend coming in the late afternoon or evening and asking for a table near the water. Great for couples, groups, and travelers who want a comfortable seafood dinner with a nice Phuket view.

Seafood is incredibly fresh - the Phuket lobster had a wonderful sweetness to the meat! We also really enjoyed the house dishes as they were well thought out and had very balanced flavors. Service is prompt and friendly without being intrusive or overbearing. As for the atmosphere - some light background jazz, warm (but thankfully not dim) lighting, and a lovely view of the pier and the sea make this an outstanding spot. Do be aware that this is an outdoor restaurant, so your experience will be effected by the weather.

Kan Eang @ Pier is my go-to restaurant whenever I host clients in Phuket. The seaside location offers stunning views and a calm, relaxing atmosphere—perfect for both business meals and casual dining. The food is consistently excellent and full of authentic flavors. Highly recommended dishes include the stir-fried pork with shrimp paste and stink beans—rich, well-balanced, and exceptionally tender. The crispy fried vegetables with their signature dipping sauce are a must-try, and the fish balls are perfectly bouncy and flavorful, served with a delicious sauce. These are dishes we order every time without fail. Service is warm, attentive, and professional, making every visit smooth and enjoyable. Apologies for the lack of great photos—the food was simply too good to wait! Looking forward to coming back again soon.

Food is really good! Glad to be back again after a few years. Nice view and easy parking. The steamed fish with lime sauce is perfectly sour and tasty. The clear seafood tom yum is excellent, and my first time trying Hor Mok was a pleasant surprise.

Beautiful seaside restaurant with fantastic seafood and a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. The fish was fresh, perfectly cooked, and full of flavor - exactly what you want by the sea. Huge thank you to Nan, my waitress, who was absolutely amazing. She was professional, attentive and genuinely kind, making the whole experience even better. Her service and attention to the details truly stood out. Highly recommend - great fresh seafood, great view and outstanding service! P.S. I’ve asked to make me a mocktail in a special cocktail glass and Nan and bar team happily accommodated my request☺️
