A legendary street-side spot that attracts long queues late into the night for its rich, peppery pork broth.

Go Benz Rice Porridge in Phuket is a must-try spot (Michelin 2019-2026) for comforting local food. The porridge is delicious, the portions are satisfying, and the crispy pork is especially tasty. The place has a lively atmosphere and the service is fast despite we have to queue for 20-25mins because it was a Friday night but definitely a great choice for a simple but really satisfying meal.

We were just walking by and noticed how crowded the place was. What really caught our attention was the impressive number of Michelin awards on the wall. After trying their signature soup and rice, we immediately understood why they earned those stars and high ratings – the food is yummy and truly unique. We ended up coming back twice because it was that good. The prices are very affordable, especially considering the quality. There were many tourists from China dining there, which is always a good sign. Be careful – the food is addictive! 😅 Highly recommend trying it if you’re near the Old Town.

The pork bone soup base was really good, should try the fried fish cake too. There's always a long queue, so you might have to wait a bit, but customers move through pretty fast.

Normally, I don’t really enjoy eating porridge because I’m not a fan of overly soft or soggy rice. However, a friend brought me here and convinced me to try it—and I’m really glad I did. The dry rice porridge here is excellent. The rice is not mushy at all, and it has a great texture that completely changed my impression of porridge. What really stood out was the aroma from the fried garlic and the various toppings, which made each bite incredibly fragrant and enjoyable. The offal was cooked perfectly—tender and not tough at all—showing great attention to detail in preparation. It truly deserves its Michelin Guide recognition. The prices are very reasonable for the portion size and quality you get. This was one of the most impressive meals of my Phuket trip, and I would definitely come back again. If friends ever ask me for food recommendations in Phuket, this place will absolutely be on the list.

Must visit if you are near! Absolutely amazing meal here - the crispy pork and rolled rice noodle, or basically any dish with the crispy pork. The soup was stunning, perfect balance between peppery and salty, amazing pork, perfect crisp. The service was super quick - meal was with us about 2 minutes after ordering, although I hear this place can get big queues around dinner time. Vibe is very local and right open to the street, it’s cool! Price was also extremely affordable. Fed 2 people easily off ~ 350 baht. Must visit! Delicious!
