I recently dined at Wildflower and opted for the degustation menu. The restaurant itself is lovely, with a great view and a refined atmosphere that suits the style of dining they’re aiming for. That said, the seating felt a little tight in places. On a couple of occasions waitstaff had to squeeze past the space between my chair and the guest behind me and I ended up being bumped twice, which slightly took away from the otherwise polished environment. The food was clearly very inventive and the presentation throughout the courses was excellent. A lot of care has gone into the plating and the creativity behind the menu. While I enjoyed several of the dishes, I have to admit I wasn’t quite as wowed as I expected to be. Some of the ideas were impressive and interesting, but a few combinations leaned a bit too experimental for my personal taste, and in some cases the flavours didn’t quite come together as strongly as I’d hoped. Had looked forward to the lamb course but found it was fatty and very chewy. Overall it was still a nice experience and I appreciate the ambition and creativity behind the menu. However, given the price, it’s probably not somewhere I’ll choose to return to. Worth trying for the experience, especially if you enjoy very experimental cuisine.
We did the 8 course menu ($230pp) and we enjoyed most of dishes with few misses. We didn’t like some elements of the turnip and lamb dish. Other than that, the dishes were very well presented and you can tell the amount of work the goes into them. Service was good but waitress could’ve been abit more attentive, we left out our bread and requested it to be taken away as we no longer wanted it but it was left on the table for the first few courses and waitress only took it away at our second request. At this price point, we’d expect everything to be top notch. Overall good experience but lacked wow factor for us to come back.
We had a wonderful dining experience shared with our friends. Throughout the evening from welcoming on arrival, to presentation of each of the 6 courses, to finishing - the waitstaff were skilled and professional in their delivery, friendly and polite, and very accommodating. The food was first class, presented with such care and finesse, like works of art !! The taste of each course was unique with a mix of ingredients that complemented each other on the palate.
Dine in here couple week ago to celebrate my partner birthday. We dont booked but have called last minute if we can dine in for two. We have 8 degustation menu. I love the experience, great service and we enjoy the dine in. All the course is tasty, but ive found the lamb is chewy and i cant finish it. The duck is the best one i had. The caramelise onion with cheese is very strong and tense. If its serve with tartlet or crackers im sure i will finish them all. The chef also takecare with my dietary and replace the dessert which i really love it.
The moment the valet takes your keys, the mundane world dissolves and you’re treated with a kind of effortless, royal regard. The staff don’t just "serve"; they move with a genuine warmth and pride that makes every guest—including my 96-year-old companion—feel perfectly ensconced. We opted for the Flow Menu, a masterclass in sensory architecture. The flavors don't just land; they unfold with a subtle complexity that ignites into a full-scale explosion of the senses. They’ve even curated the acoustics—the dessert offered a crystalline, audible crunch beneath the spoon that was a total sonic revelation. I’ll admit to a brief flash of "wagyu envy" watching the neighboring table, but the first bite of my own meal silenced the room. It was one of the finest things I have ever tasted. I could use a thousand perfunctory words, but "beautiful" is the only one that touches the truth of it. It was beautiful to behold and a profound joy to process. This was my fourth pilgrimage to Wildflower, and it remains untarnished. Magnificent, soulful, and delightful—I’m already planning the return.
