We dropped by the WA Maritime Museum this weekend and got taken to a completely different world of ocean history! 🌊 Stepping inside, you're immediately immersed in the fascinating maritime past of Western Australia The building itself is gorgeous, but the exhibits are the real stars! 🤩 The displays were incredibly enjoyable and packed with so much interesting detail I especially loved exploring the diverse historical artifacts, seeing the shark specimen and those intricate ship models was a real treat! 🛳️ The history of the uniforms and old boats was also surprisingly captivating. But honestly, the major highlight? Getting up close and personal with the HMAS Ovens submarine outside! That thing is absolutely massive and truly impressive! 🤯 It offers a powerful sense of the scale of naval history right there in Fremantle Everything about the museum was delightful🎉 10/10 would definitely recommend giving them a visit when you're down by the port!

I went on my birthday to visit the With Live from Nonna exhibition. It's a wonderful comprehensive collection of stories, curios and the hardship some of these folk endured. Well done to families for their commitment to gather and loan so much. The exhibition includes in the ticket price and for free if you are a member ❤️ recipe cards from the same Nonnas.

Minor point but their cafe is really good. But it's dwarfed by the displays. They are well presented and really interesting. We spent about 3 hours there and could have stayed longer. My only disappointment was that I was looking forward to going inside the HMAS Owen. This is a famous submarine and I wanted to let my wife get a understanding of naval life. But not to be and she had to just look at the videos; which were very well done. Go, I'm sure anyone would find it fascinating.

This is a world class museum that has been refurbished not long ago. I planned to stay there for half a day, but ended up spending a whole day there. I am glad that I visited the museum before starting my WA tour. The exhibits and the related explanation provide very comprehensive background information on the sites that I was going to visit. This made the tour so much more interesting. There is an admission fee of $15.

I'm sure she would love the fishes in here. So cute by the way (The Whale-Shark Was cool but Slightly Creepy, still love it) Very interactive with all in the places, it was fun pressing all the buttons. Clean, and Even with some free water dispensers.
