Kings Park is definitely one of the best spots in Perth and super worth visiting. It’s a huge park with so much space to explore — from walking trails to open lawns and beautiful garden areas. One of the best things is there’s no entrance fee, and it’s really easy to get to. The bus stops right in front of the entrance, so it’s very convenient even if you don’t drive. There are plenty of great picnic spots with amazing views of the city and Swan River. You can easily spend a few hours here just relaxing, walking around, or hanging out with friends. Make sure to come during sunset — it’s honestly the highlight. The sky often turns into this soft “strawberry” colour, and the view from up there is just stunning. Overall, it’s a chill, beautiful place where you can enjoy nature and one of the best views in Perth without spending anything. Definitely a must-visit.

We visited Kings Park in May, and the weather was absolutely perfect — cool, breezy, and very comfortable. We spent almost two hours there, just relaxing and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. We brought a pizza for a simple picnic, and it turned into a really special moment. As a Catholic, I also took the time to pray the Rosary there — the calm atmosphere made it feel even more meaningful and reflective. Truly a beautiful place to slow down, find peace, and enjoy the moment. A must-visit when in Perth.

Excellent place to spend some hours. You can wander along multiple paths through forest , bush, native shrub collections , breath taking views of Perth city and the regal Swan River. Loads of space for family picnics .Plenty of parking or you can get regular bus service if you dont want to drive. Excellent park shop with lots of local artists work .

Good park for a walk around with some nice look out points. You could cover some distance here for your daily steps. Convenient parking locations too! Food / drinks spots are also available here. Recommended for a solo day in Perth.

A must-visit when in Perth! Started my walk from Novotel Perth Murray at 6am and made it just in time for sunrise at Kings Park—absolutely worth it. The views overlooking the city and Swan River were stunning, especially with the morning light. The park is peaceful, wellmaintained, and perfect for an early walk. What stood out the most was the peaceful atmosphere—whether you’re walking through the botanical gardens, enjoying the treetop walk, or simply sitting on the grass, it’s incredibly relaxing. The variety of native plants and flowers is impressive, especially during blooming season, making it a great spot for photos and nature appreciation. There are also plenty of walking trails, picnic areas, and family-friendly spaces, so you can easily spend a few hours or even a whole day exploring. The State War Memorial adds a meaningful historical touch, and the viewpoints are simply stunning, especially at sunrise or sunset. Overall, a perfect place to unwind, exercise, or just take in the natural beauty of Western Australia. Highly recommended for both tourists and locals.
