Very clean and well-maintained hostel with a really unique setting in the old prison. Everything was organised and the facilities were great. The only downside is that it’s quite big, so it didn’t feel very social or interactive compared to smaller hostels. Overall still a great place to stay!

Rooms clean. Toilet very clean. Kitchen in good order. Very nice. Not chaotic. No loud noise. Very chill and relaxing kinda hostel. None of the party crowd which is great. Love the experience of staying in a prison. This marks my second time in prison. First was in Christchurch but this one offer a more authentic feel. Staffs are great. Kind and welcoming and thoughtful. Overall good experience
I had made a reservation over the phone and walked 30 minutes from Fremantle station with luggage only for front desk staff to tell me they won't check me in. I called office in Sydney to complain and was told "it's up to their discretion to check me in". Not only was i disappointed, I felt discriminated against. What is this "accommodation subject discretion by front desk" even about?? Sounds like prejudice imo so I will give 1 star since theres no Zero stars to give.
