We like to try new places when staying in the city. Double Rainbow was just around the corner from our hotel, so we thought we will give it a go. It was amazing! We had the set menu with the added strip loin steak! 🥩 flavour combinations was wow! The staff were great, so friendly and took their time explaining the menu . We will definitely go back. Thank you!
I would give the resteraunt a 4.5, prok belly was great as well as the duck fat potatoes and noodles. Snake beans were okay but nothing amazing. Cocktails weren't that great. Dessert bento box was honestly one of the best desserts I've ever had I would go back just for this. Staff were nice and has a very cool vibe inside.
Double Rainbow has been one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The food and drinks were absolutely spot on, and the pricing is very reasonable for the quality you get. We’ve been there twice now, and it’s consistently good. The beef steak is definitely a must-order perfectly cooked and full of flavour. Overall, we really enjoyed our time there and will definitely be coming back again.
We booked last minute on Christmas Eve and were blown away by the food. My favourite dish was the snake beans, but was impressed by nearly every one. My least favourite was the duck fat potatoes as I wish they were crispier, but still delicious. The cocktails were beautiful and tasty. Service was very good, every time we were ready to order another drink, our waiter was there as if he were predicting our needs.
Honestly the average reviews being above 4 at the time of writing this review is just purely laughable because it means the majority of Perth don’t have decent taste buds and why do I say that? That’s because this asian fusion restaurant is fused with the some asian that I’m not even aware of. To start this place gets incredible smoky during dining and as such you can forget about your expensive date night perfume. We ordered the tartare to start and while not Asian this was good, then we ordered the squid and it was spicy but it was nothing special like chilli flakes on squid that’s it. The scallop was decent flavoured too. The $2.5 oysters were spicy but and a big but, the size was smaller than your thumb….The meats that we ordered was flavoured ok and again nothing special and the food was more so Asian inspired than influenced because the food that actually was dished out you would get better cheaper and tastier in a Chinese or Korean restaurant. Now the non Asian foods like potatoes tasted really well, but again for Asian foods this was a disappointment, all in all given the high price and disappointing food and atmosphere, we won’t be back even if we attend a show at the Rechabite, Northbridge is far better for actual Asian foods….
